We need our resident Aussie to explain what a FIFO driller is!

FIFO workers are people who work in fly in fly out jobs mainly in mining. They are FIFO because the areas they work in are usually extremely remote. They usually work onsite for several weeks (many earn a fucking fortune) then they fly home for a certain amount of time before going back again. The time spent working would depend on the conditions of the contract signed. My uncle used to be FIFO and he'd be two weeks on, three weeks off. It's a hard life and definitely not for everyone but the money is a big pull.
