Harriet Walter RULES.
What a comment. 'I shouldn't have had children... I should have had dogs.'
Didn't she and Shiv have an almost identical conversation in England for Shiv's wedding? I remember Shiv saying 'I was seventeen, Mom,' so I guess she was talking about their mother leaving New York and leaving them to their dad?
I think and hope Gerri is too smart to allow herself to take the flak for Roman. In her conversation with Shiv she certainly held her own. But the family (well, Logan) does always seem to come out on top somehow.
Thinking about it, the dick pic needn't cause any damage really. It could be kept between Logan, Gerri, Roman and Shiv and never mentioned again. It looked to me as if Shiv was just trying to leverage it to take down Roman, out of her own envy and frustrated ambition. Logan could well decide, if he wants to keep Roman in line to succeed, to just draw a line under it.
Then again, if the Madsen deal goes tits up, it'd be ideal ammo for Logan to take down Roman…
Madsen was frightening in this ep, IMO. Ultra-rich, quite smart and powerful, and bored –a Nietzschean, frustrated nihilist. If anyone is going to be Roman's downfall it's him. (or possibly the neo-Nazi presidential candidate, or have we seen the last of him?)
Shiv and Tom's 'dirty talk' was beyond close to the bone. 'I don't love you and you're not good enough for me.'
Logan getting Kendall's kid to taste the pasta
I feel like Kendall might actually be in the ascendancy again soon. Roman may fall, Shiv is possibly going to self-destruct… I wonder if Kendall has been on the journey all the way to rock bottom/the wilderness and will end up coming back a bigger bastard even than his father and being the only one worthy/shitty enough to take the throne?
Fuck me it was a horrible episode. In the best possible way, of course
