@Mickarooni

Affair?! Ffs. Come on! She was wrong, she apologised and Bob has chosen to forgive.
She's only stayed to fix her own image though, hasn't she. She clearly has no interest or attraction to Bob.

Frankie is a walking talking MN red flag isn't he! He really doesn't like Mel.
Even when they sat on the sofa and he said 'Melanie' it felt like he was trying to also be intimidating. He's a controlling prick.

SheldonesqueTheLazyEyedBstard · 16/09/2021 11:44

I am raging at the way Megan is being treated.

And again, I will go out on my limb (as I did for Megan) and say that Amy is far too broken to be on here at the moment. I reckon she is being an arse because she is hurting. And maybe because she has banked on this ‘process/experiment’ for giving her the happy ending she so wants and it isn’t happening how she imagined.

I think she is looking at Adam and Tayah and has a touch of the green eyes.

Essentially though, I think Josh is a better bet. His approach to it all is infinitely more sensible than the headlong gallop to the uterus of those two.

She just needs to speak to him. Maybe give it a chance. I know the clock is ticking but rushing it isn’t the way really.

She just looks so sad.

And I love her for getting up to try to comfort Megan. She has a good heart in there.

I know Megan pushed her away. But I’m like that. If I’m hurting and crying, someone being nice is liable to turn a tear trickle into a great honking sob.

I have a feeling my dislike for Alexis and her recent behaviour will be heightened this evening.

At this point in time I wouldn’t blame
Megan for draping herself on Ant. In fact I would cheer it on.

So there.

Apparently Megan's still picking earwigs out of her teeth.

ReginaaPhalange · 16/09/2021 12:19

Didn't watch last night! Was too hooked on clickbait! Will catch up after my scan :)

AppleJane · 16/09/2021 12:21

@Mumdiva99 I agree about the editing. It's possible that the argument was about Marylise not wanting to embarrass her teenage boys by saying personal stuff and Franky saying if you don't speak they'll accuse me of stopping you. We simply can't know unless they show us stuff. Franky did look sympathetic about Tayah's miscarriage but he's down as the villain and Megan's down as the whore and that's that.

dotdotdotdash · 16/09/2021 12:26

@Chicchicchicchiclana I'm glad you mentioned Luke's trousers. Ridiculously tight and of course, no socks. Morag's work I assume.

Also, I have a bit of sympathy for Amy as she wants babies and if she waits around for Josh to get on board, she'll be through the menopause and missed her chance. Another basic error from the ixperts!

AlphabetStew · 16/09/2021 12:34

Amy has talked to Josh. She has told him what she needs. She's told him she needs more affection and physical touch. And Josh's response to that has been to look at her with slight, but very real, disgust and tell her she's very needy.

The more he pulls away the more in need of reassurance she becomes. Which he can't give her because he's not that into her. It's a trainwreck.

I'm very dubious of Amy's double declaration though. She wanted to give Josh a scare by revealing Leave but she couldn't chance Josh inadvertently calling her bluff and deciding Leave too! Whether she wishes to remain in the process to make a go of things with Josh or to continue her exposure for her Instagram career is less clear. Unlike Megan who very clearly has zero interest in Bob and is only concerned with cultivating the best possible narrative for herself.

MrsWhites · 16/09/2021 12:50

Just caught up on the last few episodes. For anyone who is interested, here’s my take on the couples:

Morag and Luke - I hope he realises that she only fancies him when he is pretending to be someone he is not. He’s had to make too many changes for her benefit.

Amy and Josh - she had this romantic fairytale idea in her head that a white knight would come and sweep her off her feet and now she’s sulking because that hasn’t happened. I feel for josh because he’s the only one who seems to be true to himself.

Bob and Megan - guilt is the only thing keeping them in the process. The experts were definitely hard on Megan though, she shouldn’t have kissed Jordan but she obviously is just too different to Bob.

Tayah and Adam - too much too fast. She needs help for her grief not another baby with a virtual stranger.

Dan and Matt - Matt is far more willing to compromise than Dan, I think the Northern Ireland thing is going to become an issue.

Franky and Marylise - she just needs to run!

SheldonesqueTheLazyEyedBstard · 16/09/2021 13:02

They haven’t sat down and talked properly. Not a long talk about hopes and dreams and fears. Bits and bobs yes but not the talk. He is being sensibly cautious and she is racing towards her chance of a relationship and a child.

It is too early days for that but I understand her need.

I have seen him turn his beak up at Amy but not with disgust - apart from her sweary turns. He doesn’t really understand why she is needy. Although the reason for me is exactly why she didn’t really need to be in this shit show.

I learned early on that children were going to be nothing short of a miracle for me. I understand the desperation she feels after the loss. The longing. As will many watching.

She is ready. Or she feels she is. I think it was remiss of the experts to match her with a younger person who is at a different stage in life.

Megan does need to sort out a better narrative for herself. Mainly because nearly every bastard in there has decided to throw her to the wolves and has foisted the role of villain on her. Including the so called experts.

They merrily ignore what could possibly be the real villains and zoom in on a lass that they’ve paired with a clown when she needed the ringmaster.

I like Josh, but feel for Amy even though throwing things and swearing at him aren't ok. She's mid 30s, wants kids and after her awful experiences, came on the programme hoping to meet someone mature who's ready to go with that, like Luke or Matt. Nobody trying to make a genuine match would have thought this a good idea.

She is probably quite torn between seeing this through (think I read somewhere that in aus, they were told that if they walked off the 'experiment', they would be liable for money, obv not sure if that was true or would stand up in court but I think I saw it's why Mick and Bronson stayed on), and realising it's a shitty match, waste of time and cutting her losses. I would be feeling low too. She doesn't want to wait around for a nice but immature, much younger guy to get it together. Josh is right in that it's much too quick to know if it's a permanent thing but he could be a bit more reassuring that they at least want the same things.

Also Alexis needs to wind her bloody neck in about Megan. She's owned up, apologised and Alexis accepted that. It sounded like Jordan kissed her, she didn't go after him, and it's not Megan's fault that Jordan made Alexis feel like shit. The only difference between them and Alexis and Ant is that they didn't kiss. It wasn't showing Nikita much girl code. It wasn't an affair and Bob had a huge part to play in them not connecting even as friends.

Marylise really reminds me of Belinda Carlisle!

She called him out on his behaviour. I'm sure if it had been Paul who did it it wouldn't have got the same reaction.

TonyThreePies · 16/09/2021 13:53

Oh and how good must Luke be in the sack given the 180 turn by Morag Grin

sarahc336 · 16/09/2021 14:01

Once again the vast majority of the cast I could imagine sat in front of me in my therapy office, it makes good reality tv but really it's probably quite unethical airing people's problems on tv and some innocent bystanders josh for examples being dragged into a parents problems, but once again I'm hooked 🤣

meadowbleu · 16/09/2021 14:24

Nobody trying to make a genuine match would have thought this a good idea.

And there's the rub for sure.

I'm finding it so hard to believe Luke would be attracted to Morag and not scared half to death by her. It must be very different in private because on screen when she laughs sometimes she sounds positively deranged.

On screen Amy exhausts me, she seems a proper oxygen thief.

Franky comes across as sinister and uber controlling.

Surely they can't really be like that, not to this degree? but we're not being given any balance.

I'm losing a lot of patience, even allowing for artistic creativity. The 'affair' for example. When I heard that in the trailer part on Tuesday I was fairly sure something was going to be brought up from the past, not an alleged kiss for goodness sake.

Everything seems so extreme and I'm not sure who I feel most sorry for, the cast with reputations to lose, or us investing our time and bothering our heads about stuff that comes to nothing anyway.

Leaveitonthefloordrobe · 16/09/2021 14:35

I've just caught up with last night's episode and my takeaway point is that Ant looked really huggable in that lovely jumper. He's a beautiful looking man. Not sure he's totally into Alexis but time will tell.
Do you think, when they have "yes week" etc that it's actually a week? Are they really spending a week together in between each dinner party and commitment ceremony? It doesn't feel like it. We see so little what with all the ads and bloody flashbacks. Stop showing me what's happened - I've already seen it!

Anyway, I'm off to stalk Ant on insta 🥰

Freeloadingtosser · 16/09/2021 14:40

He's being really decent, recognised they had a flirty spark but taking it slowly so as not to lead her on if it doesn't develop. She's carried over the rejection, wondering why he won't jump on her, when it would leave her feeling worse if he did then it didnt work out. Bloody Jordan, why wasn't Alexis just put with Ant in the first place?

How long does the series go on for?

Digital Spy think the experts are doing a good job.

I loved Anta jumper. If I was younger I'd love being his gf and snuggling into him watching films
He just seems so calm and laid back and no pressure etc. And nice cosy clothes!

SheldonesqueTheLazyEyedBstard · 16/09/2021 15:07

Digital spy is very, very, wrong.

Noddy, sell-out and wiggy are not doing a good job at all.

Finally caught up on here and on the show!

God Amy's annoying. Josh came over as quite childish with some of his yes week decisions but her handling of it was atrocious. I get that she's insecure but she's such hardwork and so rude! I agree that her spirituality is a cover for being a bitch- she blamed everyone else & their chakra for giving her negative energy.

Tayah- that miscarriage is obviously very recent. I don't think she's ready. And it's waaaaay too soon to be talking like that!

Franky and Marilyse... god I hope she gets out. I think she has more backbone than she's letting on but he's SO sinister- he's negging her, he's trying to psych out Mel, wtf was the "correct" answer thing about?

I'm glad Morag said something. She's dreadful one on one with Luke but she's not stupid otherwise. She's quite bold and whilst she's wince making with some of what she says, I do think she's taking her chats with the ixperts seriously- she's engaging with the process. No flies on Morag. Also I quite like some of the shirts I am assuming she's put Luke in. Audrey Hepburn wants her capris back though.

Alexis I've gone right off. Hypocrite much, for starters! She might not have kissed Ant but she was flirting her arse off that night. Leave Megan alone. The "permission" thing I'd need to rewatch but essentially Meg got kissed by Jordan because she was his type and she entertained it because she's bored by Bob a-knob. She's apologised, they've all moved on. No need for drama or "lack of trust".

I do think Megan is a tad fake and has a bit of a fairy tale naivety to her but she's also apologised enough!

Ant strikes me as going along with it rather than actually chosing to still be on the show. When he left he didn't give much thought to Alexis, whereas she was in tears over him iirc. They had a spark over one conversation and now he's been dragged back into the show. He looks a bit rabbit in the headlights to me.
