Re the kiss, how would this not have been caught on camera! And once the producers were aware they had kissed i would have thought they would engineer a situation where Megan and Joran were “caught in an embrace” etc on camera

Quite. At the dinner party when Alexis and Ant were properly flirting, Jordon and Megan were talking but it wasn’t at all flirty to my mind. Totally think it’s a bit fake.

But there's something about women being expected to force or dredge up sexual attraction to a man which I find very uncomfortable. It is old-fashioned and demonstrative of male entitlement which I do not like.

Yes, just watching it again and she was saying she'd have to try to make the first moves and be more intimate, and her face was like a she was chewing on something nasty. Really wrong to try and force it, even if your "reason" for not fancying the bloke is as shallow as fuck. You don't fancy him, you don't fancy him. The Ick-sperts are a nonsense.

Those saying the situation with Jordan Meghan is fake....of course it is. The whole programme is......doesn't stop me watching but don't analyse too far....

Also does anyone else cringe every time one of the couples references “fighting for their marriage” or choking up as they reiterate they “really meant what we vowed on our wedding day”
They’re not even real weddings any more! They’re just dressing up and acting out a wedding with a stranger, the more dramatic the likes of Bob the more I go off them. Acting like he’s determined to fight for his marriage of 10years rather than he’s known Megan a week & they’ve never done more than share a quick kiss for the pretend wedding photos.

@SheldonesqueTheBstard - project away. I haven't had one like Bob the Knob but I've had someone with a good helping of Jordon in their personality.

It's cathartic but very upsetting to watch him- I feel so seen when he's called out, so lucky to have got away and so sorry for Alexis. Can confirm they're a dangerous type. Mine liked vengeance and doling out punishment. He couldn't cope with being on the receiving end of anger or annoyance. I told him to stop his whining only once- hissed at him during an event he complained throughout and bitched about how I got us there, stressing me out- and which I'd already agreed to leave presently. I broke and told him his behaviour was not helping. I was treated like a dangerous animal there after.

No one likes being snapped at but there's an element of "how dare you" about Jordon-esque type responses to it. The empty, emotionless chasm of sulleness, the souless hardened eyes, working out how to take you apart and the refusal to recognise their behaviour as having any part of or effect upon your actions. Sane, balanced people rarely kick off in isolation; fires don't start out of nothing, you need the right conditions, a spark. With emotions, buttons must be pushed. Then you are shamed and punished for reacting. You are made to feel that if you were a dog, you should now be muzzled. Essentially it's because you've dented their ego- you stood up to them.

Luckily for me people at the event had seen him pester me to leave and had seen my distress and tension from the moment we arrived. They knew what he was like and made sure I didn't blame myself in the aftermath. It was the only thing we ever attended for me. I went to loads of things for his friends.

I am pleased Alexis- although her out burst was a bit extreme- had cameras around to back her up and show up this prick.

This thread is more entertaining than the actual show! I find them all such a dull lot.

I trust the opinion of the women on here who are seeing behaviour in men that feels horribly familiar, and if that is reflected in the responses of the women on the show, who are then vilified for entertainment purposes, like Meghan, it's an absolute disgrace.

It occurs to me that I suspect Bob of being a Nice Guy (TM). The kind that thinks women should adore him for being even vaguely non-awful and will call them frigid pretty quickly if they don’t.

I accept that I basically dislike him and have from day one.

I’m not enormously fond of Megan either to be fair. But I am also not a fan of any woman being told to be physically intimate with anyone against their will (and think for that reason that both she and Morag should just leave) or shamed by a bunch of men the way she was. I also watched the end of the dinner party last night for the first time (fell asleep on the first attempt) and Alexis tells Ant that she’s told Megan her marriage is dead in the water. I genuinely can’t think she cared in the slightest whether Megan had snogged him other than possibly boggling that she’d want to, so I call humbug on the girl code stuff.

Again, I don’t agree with what Megan did but the reaction she got was unnecessary and exaggerated.

She got the stink eyes. She got the silence. She got the sneers of derision. She got ignored when she cried.

Clearly it might have been the editing but I didn’t see any of that toward the Headline Act (not MAFSUK but NewsAt10-to-be). He sat there on the couch like his faeces didn’t produce an odour.

Feeling more like The Only Way is Mafs by the minute.

I was surprised Nikita was allowed on the afters, as much as she acted awfully, I do hope it doesn’t lead to her getting trolled etc online.

I posted on the last thread that I thought they were doing damage limitation on behalf of Nikita. As in, they rightly threw her off the show, but they were aware that social media would probably tear her apart.

Something that I don't get is- you know that you are going to be on the TV and that it will mean that people will dredge up the tiniest and the oldest misdemeanours that you may have committed. So why the hell aren't they combing their own SM accounts and making sure that there's nothing on there that could be seen as incriminating? Surely you would want to appear as squeaky clean as possible? And they can't even use the excuses of not knowing what would happen - they are the ones that live on the SM and know exactly how to make it work for themselves.

Regarding Megan and everyone being happy to slag her off- that's because she doesn't even pretend to tolerate Bob and not to come across as a cow. No, she clearly doesn't like him and hasn't from day 1. And he is way, way, way too much (personally I would have swam the ocean to get away from the childish behaviour). But the whole purpose of the show, be it as fake as it is, is to work through your emotions and at least try to understand the other person. No, you may not find them attractive, but you should at least try and find some common ground. Or be civil as a bare minimum. Megan has done none of those things (that we have seen on TV). All she has been seen to do is demonstrate her disdain towards Bob, slag him off in front of him to the others and towards the end not even look at him when speaking to him. She is the one that has demonstrated all of those behaviours. Whereas we were shown Bob at least attempt to tone it down and please her. Do I think that his constant crying is annoying? Fuck yes! Same applies to Morag and her constantly crying.

I actually don't think that she should have been on the show. She's never been in a relationship and therefore has 0 ideas on how those work. She wanted to have her princess day and that was it. But we all know that relationships don't work like that.

I'm rubbish at remembering names, but thought Jordan really threw Megan under the bus, basically making her take the blame for the kiss. Why have the ixperts / producers / others not pulled him up about being racist? He basically said he didn't want a black girl, he wanted a white girl. His actual wife is stunningly beautiful, and he wouldn't have stood a chance with someone who looked like that in real life.
I'm not impressed wirh the shallow blond Essex lady who keeps telling her fella how awful he looks.
I don't mind the Army guy. He is patronising, but I liked how protective he was with his misses. He seemed guarded with everyone else but I like the way he looks at her. He reminds me of the ex-army men in my family.

Unfortunately, this is not the MAFSUK of old. It isn’t about matching people for to find love.

They’ve gone for the drama, the mismatches, the fireworks.

I wouldn’t want to try in the current format of the show.

It is all about creating drama. Yes we all watch it but I doubt many could say that the ixperts have tried to create true love matches. I can’t blame Megan for being aghast at what she’s been saddled with.

I wouldn’t blame anyone for looking with disdain at a grown man acting like a child at a dinner party either.

And as for pretending to be distraught at the ‘betrayal’ after a week?

I think I’d be turning up my nose at that too.

After the non chemistry with Jordon and the alleged kiss, you would be forgiven for thinking this was a scripted reality show.
