Agree bit rich fiz blaming Tyrone for hopes behaviour! She was a pyromaniac long before he put his slippers under alina’s bed. More likely her psychopathic genes inherited from her father and shared with her crazy sister.

Agree, Zidane was looking distinctly shifty. Why would he offer £50k when he wasn't even told how much was in the business account? It might well have been much less than that.

I agree! Zeedan's hair on the other hand... I thought the Red Rec was full of vagrants and drunks, hardly the setting for a romantic tryst. I bet the bandstand smells of wee and has a liberal scattering of syringes on the floor.

When I heard Alya and Yasmeen talking about zeedan I thought ahh yes, bit of talent coming back to the street. Not impressed with that hair and beard!

Zidans fringe is a bit straight, did he use a ruler, is it the same Zidan that was in it before.

I don't care enough to google, but the age gap between Norris and Mary?? She doesn't have a single wrinkle on her face, and yet was absolutely obsessed with the man.
Mary, actually, is acting like a complete fucking lunatic. It's embarrassing to watch.
I didn't actually mind Alina. The love triangle/Hope storyline was the best in a while.
Tonight was stupidly farcical, and not in a good/funny way.

Without Googling, and not only because I cannot be arsed, I'd say Mary was a good 25 years younger than Norris, if not more. They age her up to make her seem more ridiculous, because again, older women. Lol. Fuck off out of that. Isn't Corrie meant to be about strong women?

The Norris actor is early 80s. I googled the other day to see if he was dead. No idea how old Mary is meant to be. But no where near that.

I've got to say though, Corrie writers can't do right for doing wrong. If it's miserable - people moan and say how funny, daft & lighthearted vintage corrie used to be. If they make it a bit daft - people moan and call it farcical.
I guess they can't please everyone!

My son was watching Coronation Street with me last night and told me that Alina looked just like me. Now Alina has been a totally irritating character and is less than half my age and I know that I don't, but she is very pretty so he got a very big hug for that! 😉

Someone asked if Mary and Norris were divorced - yes. Mary had a line about it this week, when she was ranting about being his wife so entitled to organise the funeral, another character (can't remember who) said "but you got divorced!" and Mary said "yes but that's just a piece of paper".

Which made the whole funeral farce even more ridiculous. And as others have said, the way they played this felt disrespectful to the character and actor. Corrie do love a funeral farce don't they.

But that all pales into insignificance after last night's delivery-tarantula-scam farce. WTF was that? Even before Zidane appeared on screen I assumed he was the scammer, it was too coincidental that his name was suddenly being mentioned.

I assume Tyrone and Fiz will get back together (Christmas?) and Alina will subsequently return with baby Pop.

Every week I think it can't get worse. And then it does.

Yes they bought it off Kevin’s sister. Im now wondering if they bought it jointly and Alina owns half of it? Corrie will probably just never mention that part of it.

Would there still be a mortgage on the house, @Akire ? Ty inherited it from Jack and Vera, who might well have paid it off. I'm not sure, though!
