Tired of sifting my way through the old thread. Let's chat here about this week's happenings...

lol...thing is with teh job I do, even though often we can actually watch TV...but we don't always have a say in what we watch and it depends entirely on the situation and how things go on the day if watching anyhting is possible...
well...I said I can't but do another day instead, that way they were able to switch around....

you know, I hope they don't make us wait till Sunday for teh results...that would really suck, lol!

Does anyone on here know the name of the song that Aleesha did her quickstep to on Saturday?
I can't get it out of my head, heard it on the radio earlier too.

'The Holly' - she did the quickstep to 'Valerie' by the Zutons and also covered by Amy Winehouse.

I just listened to it on the Video section on strictly website, and thought it was Valerie, and that I had heard a version fgrom Amy Winehouse, but wasn't sure!

I am with NAB - Alesha seemed so falsley shocked when she scored 10's a while back.

I'm backing Matt and may even sneak in a vote or 2 for him.

Besides I loved, loved, loved his Rumba. Normally I think they are either rubbish or embarassing, but he and Flavia have such a connection, it was fab!

In case you're still wondering, there will not be a show on Sunday.
It's on at 5.50 and 9.25 on Saturday night.
I'll be watching it on Sunday so don't expect any succinct comments from me on Saturday night.

oh, that will be a wonderfully spend Saturday night...I can see it now, me , dh and a bottle of wine...now....if only it would start an hour later, then I could bring ms to bed already, which would mean a quiet and relaxed viewing...nothng ever is perfect, eh!

I reckon it has a lot to do with Brendan and the media hassle associated with it.

I was thinking the same thing about Natasha Kaplinski and ITT tonight - all the previous winners except her have contributed...I'm not too bothered that she doesn't, never liked her anyway.

No Natasha is pretty 'sassy' but in a bad way!!

The SCD finals show is a bit of a tradition now isn't it?? The classes I've been to suddenly get really busy about October...it's jsut sooo outrageously camp!!

CAn't help feeling that Matt "left" the show when he finished his dance early and left gorge Flavia on her own on the floor. It was a bit of a flounce!!

yes...last week. IT was a sort of petulance that put himself first and his partner second. IN contrast it's soooo funny when Alesha and Mathew admit to making the last bit up, of two dances now, because she forgot the steps!!

I know that it is easier for the woman to follow the man but not really in the latin as they are not in hold!
Flaiva said that Matt just 'froze' and she physically couldn't move him - he panicked.
And that is the main reaon I'm voting for Alesha.

I've never voted before in all of this time, but I will do on Sat. as Alli may well lose out to the Eastenders/sympathy vote, when she sooo deserves it.

I think (and this is just imvho) that, once it gets to the final, the 'rightful' winner does win. Natasha deserved to beat Christopher Parker; Darren deserved to beat Colin and Mark deserved to beat Matt. The only one where I don't think there was a definate favourite was the one Jill won over Denise.

I think the year Darren Gough won - it should have been Colin Jackson, he's been my all time favourite male sleb (did like Aled Jones in a strangely disconcerting way...)and I've never forgiven Erin for the ridiculous puppet fiasco.

I think it is really anyones on Saturday night - I'll make my mind up on the night.

I do have to be honest and admit to watching Flabia ( as dd2 calls her) as much as Matt, I'm very straight but she is very hot!!

Going to have to get a life for future Saturdays

Alesha has to win and I will be voting this weekend even though I don't usually. I also think it is great a v amusing how Alesha and Matt C just carry on even when they have forgotten the routine. Their dances have made me cry twice (actually sob during their waltz . And therefore they HAVE to win. They are just soooo lovely together and as much as I think Flavia is AMAZING, Matt is not the winner for me.
