Tired of sifting my way through the old thread. Let's chat here about this week's happenings...

Am so delighted with the final line up - but 5 dances, thats a tough slog - maybe to fill in time because of the absence of a third couple? And for once I am delighted for the 2 professional dancers, both are divine to watch

dressedupnowheretogotilxmas · 17/12/2007 11:19

i am glad too both pro's will be first timers too so that will be nice

but five dancers yuck

tribpot · 17/12/2007 12:38

Yeah, the five dances is to cover for the lack of a third couple, and it's too much. Karen and Mark's showdance last year was nowhere near as good as it would have been if they hadn't been utterly knackered by the time they did it.

VanillaPumpkin · 17/12/2007 14:28

Yes I was referring to the guest dance with my OMFGoodness comments. I was totally flabbergasted at the strength that man must have. When he just held her infront of him by her hips at an angle with her body dead straight , astounding!
Worried by the 5 dances. Hope it won't be an anticlimax. Camilla did totally knacker her neck during the Paso by the looks of the show. Gethin was asking for a paramedic and lots of ice spray going on. I am gutted they didn't get through as I just don't think Matt is up to the final.

bossybaublesinherbritches · 17/12/2007 15:05

oo-er so the tears could have been agony & not wanting to seem a wimp she hid away....

JingleBelgoHoHoHo · 17/12/2007 15:11

I think Matt may have the more natural talent, but he doesn't have the consistancy that Gethin has. I hope Alesha wins, she's amazing in every dance.

ruty · 17/12/2007 15:15

I think that is it. Matt is more naturally talented, but rather erratic. Hope he can pull it off next week. He's lucky to have the wonderful Flavia.

bossybaublesinherbritches · 17/12/2007 15:18

She has been excellent throughout hasn't she? Matt & Gethin have both improved dramatically but Gethin has been the bigget surprise!

ruty · 17/12/2007 15:21

no one has really revealed eye opening talent like in previous series. Alesha has been brilliant from the beginning.

JingleBelgoHoHoHo · 17/12/2007 15:21

Camilla seemed guinely upset - I can't imagine she was putting on a strop at not getting through. Maybe she did hurt her neck - but she hid it well because I didn't notice anything!

JingleBelgoHoHoHo · 17/12/2007 15:23

guinely I mean genuinely! I hate that, only noticing a glaring typo after I've clicked on the 'post' button

bossybaublesinherbritches · 17/12/2007 16:32

God I'm ALWAYS doing that too! Brain overtakes the fingers!

VanillaPumpkin · 17/12/2007 21:01

Having watched It takes two I do think that Camilla and Gethin are genuinely and totally gutted. To be fair I feel it was really close and Craig said that had the judges not had to base their decision on the dance off it is quite likely Gethin would have gone through. Based on that I think Geth and Cam are justified in being a bit fed up. It can't be easy to be gracious all the time when you have worked so hard for something and truly feel you have earned a place. I for one would have locked myself away and sobbed for England I think so I don't blame Camilla if that is what she did. At least she hid away and didn't have a public breakdown if she did it at all.

VanillaPumpkin · 17/12/2007 21:02

Congratulations if you make sense of that last post

bossybaublesinherbritches · 17/12/2007 21:23

Having watched ITT yes- otherwise no!!

bossybaublesinherbritches · 17/12/2007 21:24

FWIW I do think she was in pain & that combined with crushing disappointment is enough to make anyone dissolve-plus they're all KNACKERED!

VanillaPumpkin · 17/12/2007 21:45

. They are all knackered aren't they???
Is there anywhere I can watch the show dance from last night. I would really like to show DH as he missed it. He doesn't get my obsession but would be impressed by that show of strength and the bendy lady.

VanillaPumpkin · 17/12/2007 21:45

Blimey! I meant !!! not ??? and then I missed the ? after my question. Time for bed I think.

bossybaublesinherbritches · 17/12/2007 21:51

Hm...be honest people...I was asked if I could work a shift on Saturday...would it be very callous (sp?) if I decided not to do it, because it would mean I would miss SCD...and I missed part of the final last year, due to work commitments and even though I was able to maintain a copy through a lovely mumsnetter...it jsut wasn't the same when I already knew who had won, iykwim...
so, would you decline an offer of work in order to be able to watch SCD?

Raahh · 19/12/2007 16:02

lol! 3jingles...I was the same with x factor- missed the last 2 weeks live due to Xmas parties- ( i would much rather have been at home watching- how sad is that??) And finding out the result halfway through the night totally ruins things.

I'm assuming for the final they won't be doing the fake Sunday show thing?

(It makes me laugh how the try so hard to make us believe it really is a different show

So to answer your question, i would totally tell them you won't work- unless its for triple time, and access to a telly!
