Jane sounds fun- I fell asleep just before it was due to start, and it had just ended when I woke up
. There have been quite a few 'incidents' this week, really.
I do like Daniil, but when he loses it, he really loses it
. His fall did look bad- but I think he over egged it a little - though it could have been a disaster. It was funny that the commentators pointed out the umpire seemed more concerned for the camera operator at first. (or maybe the very expensive camera!) Maybe that's what got Daniil cross
.
During the commentary, they kept referring to how it is one of the smaller 'show' courts around- and possibly why Rafa has only won once- since he likes to stand so far outside the baseline. There really isn't any room.
And why can't they change on the court? Players are always changing on the court. Is this a covid thing? I'm sure I've seen plenty do it in other tournaments over the past year.
It should be a good final- it took Andrey a while to settle into the match yesterday (probably helped by the camera incident)- but he played well in the end. They have a good rivalry going in finals- and Rublev will want revenge for Monte Carlo, where he ran of steam, really.
