Problem with Ed’s family is while they have two decent looking sons they decided not to involve them with anyone else on the street. Any other family would have couple one night stands, fight with someone ex and probable got engaged by now. Instead new BF who himself has no ties beyond talking to fella Street residents like he’s been there for 20years and a GF who got no friends. Ideally she be mum friend with Gemma or Sarah or even Daniel. Not even any met up in the park.

Yes!! I’ve said from day one that this is the problem with the Baileys. When they first arrived it was said that Aggie was going to pal up with Liz and Eileen - it never seemed to happen. James was friends with Bethany for a bit when she was his beard, but he doesn’t seem to have had a mate on the street since. Ironically it’s only Ronnie, as the latest addition to the family, who’s actually had any impact outside it.

I thought those scenes were great - award-winning stuff from Sally Carman. But why did they get shoehorned into an episode that was all about the Fiz/Tyrone/Alina triangle and Hope the Firestarter (with a bit of Daisy daftness and some old pollocks thrown in)? It just seemed such an odd fit with the rest of the episode.

I don’t know if it’s a hangover from Covid restrictions on filming, but all too often these days it seems like they just throw together enough scenes to fill half an hour, rather than making a cohesive episode.
