Are you happy about any or all of the returnees?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/03/2022 14:29

I think there is several significant ones missing (relating to her personal life!).

Yes I thought that too.
NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/03/2022 15:04

There are even Blush.

TrashyPanda · 23/03/2022 15:27

I get your drift - and I agree!

But I am hopeful….

PaddlingLikeADuck · 24/03/2022 06:08

What a sad episode Sad

I thought the plan though was that if Eliot couldn’t remove the tumour he would allow her to die in theatre as that’s what she had wanted? And if that was the agreed plan between them, why wasn’t Jac angry when she realised Eliot had gone back on their agreement?

Mind you, I had been wondering how Jac expected Eliot to allow her to die…..did she think that everyone else in the room would just sit back and do nothing if her heart stopped or she had a stroke or something?

It must have been very hard on Eliot because didn’t he go abroad with his ill wife so she could have a dignified death and not suffer? And so to hear similar words and wants come from Jac must have been very emotionally difficult.

I can’t see how she can be saved now and I fear Holby will end will Jac dying Sad

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 24/03/2022 06:38

I wondered if the final episode would be what is going through Jac's mind as she dies, with past major story lines being revisited and the associated characters talking to her in her dying dreams.
Or maybe people coming to visit knowing she's dying and reliving their 'best bits' together.
Looking at that spoiler, not sure there are enough of the right people to make either of those work.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 24/03/2022 07:57

That guy with the festering leg is surely going to be significant in some way, given that he asked specifically for Jac?

MyOtherProfile · 24/03/2022 07:59

He couldn't go through with it. That's why someone or other (HH maybe?) said he had done the right thing. He told Jac he was sorry but he couldn't do it and she held his hand. So I think she understood.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 24/03/2022 08:50

With all that was going on in Jac's op, surely there would have been a lot more people in the operating theatre?

I'm not sure Jac had the fight left in her to be haranguing Elliott for not just letting her die on the table (also she's not said her goodbyes, had she?).

Seems unlikely now that she will make a recovery in any meaningful way. Forty minutes to wrap everything up? Is the companion storyline with the female priest relevant in any way (perhaps she will get Jac's heart)?

SleepingStandingUp · 24/03/2022 09:47

He said sorry and she said no I'm sorry so I think she understood asked asked too much

PaddlingLikeADuck · 24/03/2022 09:54

I was thinking the exact thing - it’s a bit of a strange coincidence otherwise.

TrashyPanda · 24/03/2022 09:56

I was wondering about that too

So a bit of Jac would live on.

PaddlingLikeADuck · 24/03/2022 10:03

Maybe she’ll get Jac’s kidneys too.

And what better way for Jac to live on than in the body of a Priest.

It’s really obvious this is how it’s going to end.

Poor Jac Sad

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 24/03/2022 10:13

That is such a lame plot device though (almost as bad as everything being a dream!)? Oh dear.

I thought it was more that if something went wrong in theatre, then he would let her die? As in, if they started removing the tumour and there was a problem, rather than not being able to remove it in the first place.

I could have misunderstood though.

PaddlingLikeADuck · 24/03/2022 11:10

Jac had said, “Complete removal or you let me die in there because I don’t want to suffer.”

As in, unless you can remove it all I don’t want to live because I don’t want to suffer as the tumour goes on to kill me.

That’s the impression I got anyway.

But who knows.

I hate episodes where there is some ambiguity as to what is happening and why….for example when Sacha said to Eliot after the operation, “You did the right thing” which could be open to lots of interpretation.

SleepingStandingUp · 24/03/2022 11:14

Maybe that man needs a liver or something too

HalleLouja · 25/03/2022 08:20

This isn’t a spoiler. Just made me sad its ending for Waterloo Road. Hmm

MyOtherProfile · 25/03/2022 08:43

@PaddlingLikeADuck I don't think it was ambiguous - it was very clear but it was a very short interaction between Elliott and Jack at the end. You could have blinked and missed it - I often do that 😆

Optimist1 · 25/03/2022 10:45

If she does die, it would be a great opportunity for a PSA about organ donation - showing all the people who receive her organs and have their life expectancy vastly improved.

This was on Rosie’s feed.

Young Fletch, Jac, Sasha and HH. Sad

TheBareTree · 26/03/2022 13:05

Is the line from Elliott about taking another look at her case from the last episode or the next one…???

MyOtherProfile · 26/03/2022 16:00

He said it at the end of the latest episode I think - when they had their little chat and he told her he was sorry.
