New thread for us to discuss all things Holby.

OP posts:

My final scene would be
Fletch sitting bedside, sobbing and telling Jac how much he loves her and she can't die and he figured they'd always find a way towards each other in the end blah blah blah whilst she lies unconscious.

Her eyes flicker open.

"Jac, Jac? You're OK. Jac, can you talk? Say something"
"I love you too"
She tentatively lifts her arm and strokes his face and leans down and kisses her.

The end.

Four weeks later in Casualty, someone mentions their wedding and how well she's doing.

PaddlingLikeADuck · 10/03/2022 09:39

I definitely think that Fletch was telling Jac he loved her and wanted to be with her.

100%

WhatICallMyUsername · 10/03/2022 13:03

Has anyone mentioned Joseph Byrne? I am sure he'd come back and save her!!

PaddlingLikeADuck · 10/03/2022 13:04

Has anyone mentioned Joseph Byrne?

Ooh yeah, I liked him!!!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 10/03/2022 13:21

Wasn't Joseph in it not so many moons ago, with Faye in tow?

SleepingStandingUp · 10/03/2022 14:32

Isn't he a GP these days? I mean, unless he's Karl Kennedy, I wouldn't want a GP performing brain surgery on me. KK can do it all tho. Someone book him a flight

She's running out of options though Grin
SleepingStandingUp · 10/03/2022 23:54

She needs a flight in from Aus. I'm telling, Karl could do it. And Tori Morgan is working in England now, we could have a home and away! / neighbours / holby cros over. At least one of those will still be airing in the summer!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 11/03/2022 08:12

Karl Kennedy must be beyond retirement age by now surely (haven't watched Neighbours for years!)?

So it looks as if the hospitals' merger is going to go ahead currently. Why haven't we heard about it in Casualty? Not a peep as far as I'm aware?

SoupDragon · 11/03/2022 09:50

Karl Kennedy must be beyond retirement age by now surely

I googled - the actor is 64 so I guess the character may have a few years left!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 11/03/2022 09:57

Gosh, I'm surprised he's only 64. He always seemed positively middle-aged even when Neighbours first started. I would have put him in his mid 40s when he was clearly still in his early 30s?

It's OK, neighbours is cancelled, they stopped filming already so he can a retire once he's saved Jac
ChoccyJules · 11/03/2022 11:39

I assume they wrapped up Joseph Byrne the last time he popped in, when they both declares they loved each other but tough cos he was staying with Faye.

That’s when she confirmed to Fletch that Joseph would always come before him in the love queue. Which is why I am wondering if she would really go for Fletch now to give us a happy ending or if they will remember that plot.

SleepingStandingUp · 11/03/2022 11:40

She's changed tho, facing death an do that. You realise that the idealised love you have for someone who loves someone else is actually nothing compared to the guy who adores you and who is the only person you can joke with.

Derek Thomson (Charlie in Casualty) will be 74 next month! Mind you, it’s very unrealistic that anyone who looks as frail as he does would be able to work a shift in a busy ED. In Classic Casualty (currently in March 2011) there are references to Charlie being ready to retire! He’s clinging on like grim death!
HalleLouja · 15/03/2022 21:45

Michael Spence may be getting older but the women he is chasing aren’t 😂😂😂😂

TrashyPanda · 15/03/2022 22:50

That was a cracking line!

And a brilliant episode.

There is hope for Jac! In the (cuddly) shape of our beloved Prof Hope.

And Fletch loves her. I just wonder who is looking after his kids while he stays by Jacks bed. Is he going to get Johnny to bring Emma?

So glad Donna stood up for the lovely Jeong. Great to see her back. He deserves to be Junior Doc of the year.

Nice seeing Diggers again (could have done without Essie though)

Eli’s hair was looking less like an astrakhan hat plonked randomly on his head. Josh was still looking daft, with the shaved space between his hair and his beard. It’s probably really trendy among the young folk, but I am old…

PaddlingLikeADuck · 16/03/2022 07:24

It was lovely to see Eliot again!!

At the start of the episode when Jac was having her hallucinations, after seeing Essie and Diggers, who was the 3rd person that appeared who said, “is this a private wake or can anyone join in?”

And at the end of the episode, when Jac left the lift that she and Kylie were in, what was it that Jac threw at Kylie when she said, “Here, something for you to practice in.”

I completely didn’t understand the scene!!

MyOtherProfile · 16/03/2022 07:25

So they did bring Arthur back but not hand in hand with Chantelle sadly 😆

TheBareTree · 16/03/2022 07:30

@PaddlingLikeADuck
The person was Jasmine, Jac’s half-sister. She was a doctor who died (was murdered?) at Holby.

Jac threw her car keys to Kylie.

PaddlingLikeADuck · 16/03/2022 07:33

Thank you!!!!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 16/03/2022 07:39

I love the way they're bringing so many 'yesteryear' colleagues back, literally from the dead in yesterday evening's episode. I wasn't sure who the third 'ghost' was.

And I'm not sure what Jac handed Kylie in the lift?

So just two episodes to go.

HalleLouja · 16/03/2022 12:45

I loved thar Jasmine had a bottle in hand too.

Oh the BBC what have you done?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 16/03/2022 12:47

The person was Jasmine, Jac’s half-sister. She was a doctor who died (was murdered?) at Holby. I'd totally forgotten about Jasmine!
