Ohh I was meant to add about Danny and Aaron. People saying Aaron was being disrespectful now I am not a fan of Aaron but people are forgetting he was getting to know Lucinda and she was interested in him (so she said but I don’t think she was) but anyway, Danny would have known that but yet he still picked her knowing that Aaron was planning to he just got in their first so don’t really see how he can say that Aaron is the snake. Also why did he pick Sharon and kaz for a date when he was clearly after luncinda, that just makes it look even more like the dates are set up, I’m watching after sun now and again he was asked why he picked kaz and said because she is bubbly and fun (or friendly can’t remember which one) but nothing about her looks, they are so clearly told who to pick for these dates. Aaron was never going to pick kaz if he could have picked Lucinda it’s love island not friendship island so Danny knew what he was doing by getting in there first.

Danny saying he wants a "top tier" and "worldie" girl would also turn any girl off surely. It's all about a trophy wife for him he doesn't care about her personality the fact Lucinda didn't get that's what he meant

Danny is scary. "Mugging me off is the worst thing you can do to me" and a comment implying getting even. He strikes me as the type you'd be worried to break up with in case he acts out

I think L was worried after he made that comment about mugging him off in case he reacted badly if she ultimately didn't go for him

Lucinda is so pretty isn't she but yet so child or is all the reallaaaaaay actuallaaaaaay just an act?

As an aside and apologies of its been mentioned but I do like how Whitmore and her ego is hardly on it. Didn't Caroline Flack used to appear in slo mo for the recouplings? I'm glad they haven't tried to recreate that.

I think the issue is Lucinda has told both of them she fancies them. She’s also running between the two telling tales and fueling the fire.

Normally if someone is in a couple, if someone wants to get to know one of them they pay the courtesy of telling the other person. Aaron didn’t he tried to kiss her in front of Danny, which Danny found hugely disrespectful. I can see that side of it. Aaron could have avoided all this and just had a quiet word before cracking on with Lucinda.

None of the three of them are handling it well. Aaron is behaving in a passive aggressive manner. Lucinda is stirring it up, and Danny is reacting aggressively.

Danny doesn’t come across as racist to me, but I’m not best placed to judge that, it’s unfortunate that it’s Aaron he’s going toe to toe with, because if it escalates further it could be turned into something ugly.

I honestly think the producers need to step in and do something to keep it calm, for all their sakes.

I’d also add Danny’s appearance can be misleading. My friends son is six foot five and tattoed like that. Everyone’s first perception is the same, he may be violent, edgey etc, he’s actually not. Danny’s reaction to Aaron is fuelling the stereo type, but I think if he looked like Hugo no one would think anything other than he is a bit pissed off.

Ugh he is awful ,those excessive tats. Aaron was so classy in his response to him, all 'meh' made Danny look like a right LadsLadsLads style mouthy twat.

I mean it's love island! surely they should expect anyone can 'get to know' anyone they like.

I can’t work out what sort of conversations Lucinda is capable of having. She doesn’t seem to say anything apart from a few phrases.

Ohh brads little dig at Rachel there on after sun “you just have to get on with whatever’s in there even if it isn’t for you, I had to do that for a bit” so cringe, I wonder if she was really isolating or just didn’t want to be on the show with brad 😣

To be fair, in the diary room she seems more communicative. I do wonder if it’s how she’s being edited, in part.

Not sure where you're getting the racist angle from Zampa? Why wouldn't he have said exactly the same thing to Aaron if he was white, pink or pale blue?

Partly because he has used racist language in the past and partly because his behaviour was so OTT aggressive.

My thoughts on Danny are nothing to do with how he looks but his behaviour. If Aaron hadn't diffused the argument, it would have all kicked off.

It was OTT and aggressive, but I don't think it had anything to do with Aaron's colour- he would have done the same to Hugo/Liam/Jake IMO. Why should it be to do with colour?

I think there is a racist undercurrent.

I too was prepared to give Danny the benefit of the doubt with the N-word stuff - not ideal but could just be a daft wee laddie not appreciating the inappropriateness of what he said. But after what, less than a day in the villa he’s having a go at a black man about “disrespecting” him? Nah.

Again, I reckon Danny has a chip on his shoulder and he would have been the same no matter who it was. He warned Lucinda that the worst thing she could possibly do would be to mug him off. He clearly has had some incident in the past that's made him really defensive, but how can we make the leap that it's to do with Aaron's colour?

I reckon he'll be out soon enough anyway.

And how can she mug him off. They've known each other a day. He's chosen her with scant encouragement, she hasn't committed to anything.

I actually think she's quite s ared of him he basically threatened her with the 'game on' comment. I really hope they remove him today. It's all shades of wrong with Lucinda being so childlike and seemingly not too bright.

I think we’re all getting a bit carried away with the Danny is scary/possessive/thug/racist etc he’s a young lad who likes tattoos who’s being played off against another guy by a girl he fancies! He’s facing some animosity from the boys who will obviously back OG boy Aaron and doesn’t want to look a mug on telly. I feel a bit sorry for him, I hope the producers have support on standby ready as I can see a swift exit on the cards.

I think this is more due to covid than a creative decision by the producers. Laura has to be in London every Sunday evening to present Aftersun and at the moment she would have to isolate for 5 days every time she flew back to the UK so it would be complicated logistically. She might not also want to keep travelling back and forth with her baby when infections are still high. Plus I think she has said she is not in the Islander's bubble so they can only film with her outside and distanced. I do agree it's no loss to the programme though I think she might go back for the return from Casa Amor recouplings.

I also think Lucinda looked genuinely frightened of Danny when she was sitting with Aaron. As much as she is naively contributing to the drama, it's really uncomfortable to watch someone so young look genuinely afraid.

I'm thinking that Brad kisses Kaz to get some air time. Maybe one of the producers has suggested it as not sure he'd come up with it himself.

There are v few proper couples but if Jake and Liberty want to stay in they have to have a little bit of drama

I think a number of them in the villa are picking up on the 'dangerous' edge to Danny's behaviour. When Teddy was talking about their rivalry he said it didn't seem 'friendly'. Lucinda clearly gets a bad vibe as well - which in some ways she is quite attracted to but she knows he might not be good for her.

Chloe walked away from the conversation between Danny and Lucinda looking a bit 'WTF'.

He is clearly making people feel a little uncomfortable. He reminds me of someone I used to know, who could change the atmosphere in a room very quickly and not in a good way.
