The field in Toronto gets smaller by the day- Berrettini isn't going either. In fact, only 5 out of the top 10 are.

Speaking of feet, Stan had his cast removed the other day so hopefully he's on the road to recovery.

For some reason I had convinced myself he had retired and I was surprised to see him

I was looking ahead to Toronto , and was remembering the dj that played there- and the weather related play list I had got it in my head that it was last year but of course it was two years ago.

That shocked me.

I've jsut seen the draw- and Rafa's first match could potentially be Lloyd Harris again. He's also in Nick's quarter, so I'm hoping Opelka gets rid of him .

I am going to miss the Olympics. The weather here is awful- we have inches of rain. it's just not stopping. It's a good excuse not to go anywhere, just sitting watching other people doing stuff . It's a shame the bulk of the tennis is on over night . .

Yes, the weather themed songs(I didn't dream that, did I?) were great.
Daniil was just starting to come into his own around the time of the Canada Open, although he lost the final quite comprehensively.

I am confused by the closing ceremony at the Olympics, because there can't be many athletes left- they had to leave within 48 hours of finishing their final event. I know Tom Daly left within hours of his last event yeaterday- so he won't be there. Usually there are thousands of athletes milling around, taking selfies and mixing with other countries. Obviously that can't happen.

It's nice to see the athletes are actually doing the mingling thing at the Olympics. Not as many as usual, but still quite a few.

I can only watch terrestrial channels at the moment because Sky is on the blink. Tried contacting them yesterday and they have nobody available to speak to until tomorrow

Oh- it's Federer's 40th birthday today.

To be honest, I feel like he's been nearly 40 for so long, he seems even older now.

Sky can pride themselves that their customer service hasn't been affected by the pandemic. It is just as terrible as it ever was

And I have blocked 'Imagine' out. I only saw about 3 seconds of it. It was 2 seconds too much.

This is making me laugh- it really has been the Olympics where the athletes and presenters have been primed to say 'Lottery funded' at every opportunity.

Next time, they will scrap the Olympics, and it will just be a big 2 week lottery draw, with athletes picking the balls. .
