I agree about the coverage of the Olympics - for the last two Olympics I’ve been on holiday abroad so only really seen random sports like Turkish weightlifting so I was really looking forward to being able to watch it all this time!

I did enjoy watching the BMX racing last night though - people jumping through the air on mini bikes - what’s not to like

I was really pleased for the pair who the BMX medals, especially Bethany, since her funding was cut and given to the men's side. She had to fund it all off her own back.
I'm quite sure the British Olympic committee boss will be a bit nicer to her now she's bumped up their medal tally.

I'm watching trampolining. It's pretty nerve wracking.

Djok lost the mixed doubles semi final too. I feel sorry for his partner- but I am glad, really.

He won't like having to play for a bronze medal again- twice. It just won't mean anything- whereas many players would be grateful for the chance.

I know the next Olympics are only 3 years away (I'm assuming they are sticking to the the 2024 schedule, anyway)- but I can't really see Djok being a contender still then for a gold. Although, saying that, he will only be 37- so you never know.

In other news, Casper is into another final. Go Casper!

I like Martinez- but I can't get past his name- Pedro(I know nothing about name fashions in Spain). It seems like an old mans name to me. From the 70s. Or a donkey, on Blackpool beach.

The dog kept me awke all night, and thendd2 had problems and woke me up early- so I'm knackered- and I was just starting to feel a bit human.

So here I am- just put the tennis on- an PCB is up a set and going with serve in the bronze medal match.

I'm not saying PCB will win this, but it wouldn't it be a real shame if Djok came away from Tokyo with nothing?

The second set tie break was very cloase, even though Djok ran off with it at the start.

Just started watching on the red button - it’s a bit early in the morning for me to stomach Djok but it looks as if he’s having a bit of a meltdown - come on PCB!

My dad rang to check I was in the land of the living- and i missed all the excitement of the 3rd set.

It's very tense. I would love PCB to win this, because i like him- not just because it will really get to Djok.

It's a shame there weren't any people in the stands Fizzy surely just the act of throwing it should be a default- in a packed stadium, he would have hit someone.

DH had Micheal Johnson as the voice for his short lived attempt at couch to 5k over lockdown so he finds his voice quite stressful

I watched the triathlon mixed relay last night. Very good!
And saw the replay of the mixed IM relay, where we got the world record!

Saw the racquet throwing incident and when he smashed his racquet into the net post. In slow motion, you can really see the anger and complete loss of control in his face. I have no idea how he wasn't defaulted, so very pleased he lost the match. He's now pulled out of the mixed doubles bronze match, citing a shoulder injury Probably pulled something when he was doing something aggressive (non tennis) with his racquet

I think he got a warning for the racquet smash kazza but not for throwing it into the stands . His lack of control and anger is scary - I think that’s the real him and he just tries to cover it up. Hope he doesn’t do anything silly at the US Open (again!) …

I also liked the mixed swimming relay - their technique definitely puts my slow coach breaststroke to shame! I think there’s a mixed 4x400 relay on soon which should be good
