Looking at Rafa's Instagram, I see he's reminding everyone to stay safe in the sun.
Public service broadcasting at it's finest!Grin

I love the picture of Rafa with his sun cream. Maybe he's looking for an advertising opportunity, should the tennis career come to an endGrin.

Andrew can keep himself busy.

Jane that is funny (and says a lot about how my mind works too) but I saw a butterfly earlier when I took dd2 for a walk , My first thought was 'not seen many this year' and my second was AC Grin.

Raahh · 17/07/2021 13:41

(It was a cabbage white, btw. Grin At least, I assume it was Grin).

JaneJeffer · 17/07/2021 13:47
Grin
Fizzywinegum · 17/07/2021 14:18

I thought about AC when I heard about the butterfly count as well Grin

I’ve definitely not seen as many butterflies compared to last year - there do seem to be a lot of bees though!

Raahh · 17/07/2021 15:02

We're brain washed, we ? Grin

No, there are definitely not as many butterflies, not near me anyway, I don't think there were many last year either. It might be the weather. Maybe the caterpillars are still isolating.

There was a year when there were loads of them, I really noticed them around.

Raahh · 18/07/2021 15:04

I see PCB has in Hamburg - interesting trophy with squiggly yellow bits, which probably represent something , but I don't know whatGrin.

Kevin Anderson is into a final in Atlanta. Which is nice.

Fizzywinegum · 18/07/2021 15:21

Thanks for keeping us up to date on the tennis Raahh Grin

In other news it’s absolutely boiling here and I’ve seen a few butterflies in the garden!

In the Sunday Times telly pages some people have been complaining about the inane witterings of John Inverdale and Andrew Castle during Wimbledon!

Raahh · 18/07/2021 15:31

Fizzy Grin
Where have these people been? Inverdale and JC have been rambling for years!
It's very warm here, and we have confused the dog by having the Air con in- so he thinks it's ok to go out.
It's not.

kazzaD66 · 18/07/2021 18:05

I see Liam Broady is a late replacement for Dan, although not in time to fly out today with the rest of the team.

Berritini has also pulled out with a thigh injury.

Raahh · 19/07/2021 11:03

NoooooSad

They might as well just give everything to Djok and have done with it.

JaneJeffer · 19/07/2021 11:56

After posting the butterfly a similar one came into the house to visit me!

Ruud won in Bastad.

Raahh · 19/07/2021 13:11

Ooh, well done Casper!

'Freedom' day is going well here. Ds has just had a notification to isolate for 6 days. Work are not happy (though that's probably where the contact was).
DD1 has escaped her last lot of isolation though and gone out. She will probably get sunburnt and refuse to leave the house again.

JaneJeffer · 19/07/2021 14:04

DS2 is already sunburnt. He went to watch a football match yesterday and stayed out with his friends all day. He's now wondering how he's going to wear his football socks over his burnt legs for his match this evening Hmm

Raahh · 19/07/2021 14:27

Kids HmmGrin
I know she put some spray on- but probably not much- and if she tops it up, I will be very surprised.
Teenagers always know best, don't they?

kazzaD66 · 22/07/2021 12:39

Just seen the first round matches for the Brits in Tokyo. Andy has Felix AA in the singles and, with Neal, Mahut and PHH in the doubles!! Apart from drawing Djok, could it be much worse? Hmm

Grin
Raahh · 22/07/2021 12:53

Oh dear!
I do love PHH and Mahut though.

I keep reading about athletes who are not able to compete due to Covid- I am absolutely waiting for a last minute cancellaton.

I'm much too warm today. I'm gearing up for a migraine anyway, so the heat doesn't help.

JaneJeffer · 22/07/2021 12:56

It's absolutely boiling.

kazzaD66 · 22/07/2021 13:02

It's the nights I struggling with more at the moment. And I don't need the weather's help to have a hot flush either!Blush
Yes, this close, humid weather always affects me aswell, but only headaches, not migraines, thankfully. So commiserations Raahh Flowers

OP posts:
Raahh · 22/07/2021 13:09

I have always had migraines, since I was about 10. I manage them ok, but they have got worse over the past year i blame dh wfh , it's possibly pre- menopause. So, I lose 2-3 days a month to feeling nauseous and rubbish. I don't mind the pain, as much as the sickness, tbh.

I have spent the past few days trying to get dd1 a fan (we have air con downstairs) but have failed- everywhere is sold out, or won't come until after the weekend- and it's going to be raining by then anyway Grin).

Ds is still isolating. He just keeps ordering food.Hmm I feel like a doorman. The dog is being very brave and barking at the nasty delivery men Grin.

I hope ds is getting paid, or this is going to be a very expensive week off for him!
