DS1's friends want him to go to the pub to watch the match but he's been at work today and he's not keen.

I'd be tempted to avoid pubs, it could get a bit lively. There's already problems in our town centre.

Jane DS was working today (from 7-4) and is in from 8-5 tomorrow. He works at McDonalds at the moment- and although he isn't at all interested in football, he is not happy at the prospect half the staff might not turn up in the morning. They've already got loads off isolating...

That's a long day for him tomorrow Raahh and awful if they're short staffed.

Maireas we're in very rural Ireland so hopefully there won't be any over emotional shenanigans here!

It's a very long day, especially in a hot kitchen with a mask on. And not staff. They have had loads off with covid. I'm surprised they they haven't been closed.

Maireas I definitely expect them to be short staffed! There will probably be a lot of 'breakfast delivery' orders too.

Matteo did well today, especially fighting back in the first set. I hope he does win it one day - and in the not too distant future!!

Sascha posted some tiny tennis clothes so I think maybe he's got to see his little girl. I know he hoped to be involved in her life.

Really enjoyed the final. That first set, when you though it was al over..., and then Mattel fought back. Superb! He didn’t give Novak an easy time.

I liked the commentary. I felt they let you watch the tennis, and didn’t intrude into the action.

I’m sure Benoit will enjoy picking up his first round cheque - maybe he’ll get to the second round one of these days!

We’re isolating here DS2 has had 2 positive LFT tests and waiting results of his PCR test so everyone is cooped up watching footy - DS1 is not impressed

If I have to stay in for 10 days it could have been at the start of Wimbledon!

DM suggested we play board games - I’m not sure that’s a good idea … things are a bit tense already!

Oh no Fizzy still at least Hamburg is on prime. I don't think we have ever played a board game by the official rules in this house!

DS1 decided to stay home in the end because they were going to a pub further away than our local.

I had to go out to pick up DS, so missed the end of the match but I wasn't bothered as I didn't particularly want to see Djok winning.

I'm enjoying the mixed very much.

Fizzy that is rubbish- dd1 is glad that it's the end of term this week at least, or I could see the roundabout of isolations at her school going on and on. Out of a school of 1600- there is only year 9 and a quarter of year 10 left in. All the rest have been sent home in the last week.

At least the rest of us don't have to isolate. Which is fortunate, given how often DD1 has been off and never actually ill.

Benoit can have a party if he makes the second round!
