Yes Raahh he's full of devilment.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 02/07/2021 12:54

He's certainly keeping the lines people amused.

Andrey has done quite well recently contrary to what the commentators say! Do they even watch tennis when they're not getting paid to?

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/07/2021 13:01

Jane I'm not sure they do half the time- Andrey has been one of the most successful players in terms of matches and titles won, over the past year. He might not have won 'big' yet- but it's really a mtter of time.

But it's always the same when one of the commentator 'favourites' is playing- the opponent- however good- is reduced to a bit part. Even if they are better.

JaneJeffer · 02/07/2021 13:04

It seems getting to a final counts for nothing these days.

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/07/2021 13:21

No, Jane it seems not.

JaneJeffer · 02/07/2021 13:23

The high five Grin

V v enjoyable match this. I love watching the outside courts (although - this is a show court - but I mean not centre/1/2).

Fabio high fiving the crowd Grin

SunSeaSurfGin · 02/07/2021 13:27

Thanks Jane & Rahh

Settled in for Fognini & Rublev match

At least Kate is sat down which makes heels slightly easier

Raahh · 02/07/2021 13:30

Sun I wonder if she sneakily kicks her shoes off?

In warm weather though, I'd worry about my feet smelling swelling up, and not being able to get them back on Grin.

SunSeaSurfGin · 02/07/2021 13:33

Oooo maybe I know I would if I could

Raahh · 02/07/2021 13:34

I've only just twigged that Foggy's kit, is Armani.
He used to wear the Hydrogen/skull one, didn't he? Famously the red one with the lightning strike thing that looked like a super hero Grin.

JaneJeffer · 02/07/2021 13:34

After a few Pimms/glasses of champagne she'll be staggering around carrying them in her hand and saying what the fuck are you looking at to anyone who glances her way.

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/07/2021 13:36

Manic Monday isn't happening this year though, Sue, is it? Not really. Because they are playing on Sunday, so the matches will be spread out.

Raahh · 02/07/2021 13:36

Jane that would be brilliant. Grin

Maybe she has some flip flops in her handbagGrin.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Would love to see that

Is playing on Sunday a covid/ social distancing thing?

SunSeaSurfGin · 02/07/2021 13:40

How pissed off would you be if you sat behind that lady in the crowd with the purple brolly☂️

JaneJeffer · 02/07/2021 13:43

Extremely pissed off Sun Grin I would probably have the world's tallest person sitting in front of me too.

Congrats to your son kazza!

Have just turned on the Foggy match. He is a very pretty man.

Raahh · 02/07/2021 13:53

Sun no, I think it's a permanent change (all the other slams play on the middle Sunday). They have changed to grass, so it no longer needs a 'day off' to rest, or something ,to be able to do this.

(What ever they have changed the grass to, seems to be made of banana skins, thoughGrin).

Ahhhh ok makes sense

Definitely think bananas are involved in the fertilising of the grass

Raahh · 02/07/2021 13:58

Sun the falling over has become ridiclous- I wonder if pro sports people are allowed to sue over rubbish working conditions?

Tim better get checking his insurance policies. Grin.

It is! There's hardly been a match with slipping abs sliding and an injury been caused

I wonder you'd have thought there'd be some sort of investigation going on

Love the idea of Tim with a hard hat being a H&s inspector

PrivateSpidey · 02/07/2021 14:04

I think the middle Sunday thing starts next year iirc. Although I thought the seeding thing was changing then as well so I could well be wrong Grin

Congrats to your DS kazza! (Just realised I missed the last page of the thread!)
