Have just heard that DS has been appointed Head Boy for the new school year! He's also captaining one of the school boats in the Round the Island race tomorrow (although there might not be any wind, so don't know how that works )

I'm a very proud mum today and I don't want Dan or Andy to spoil my good mood

I'm looking forward to the first match on centre with Mugs and Jabeur. Two of my fave WTA players, but I'm really not sure which one I want to win.

I am sitting her watching the weather- I made the mistake of putting a load of washing out. It is bound to rain. The weather for next week looks very grim indeed up here.

I'm looking forward to the Jabeur/Muguruza match. I haven't seen Garbine play for ages, and I do like watching. Foggy is playing Rublev this morning- that has potential, depending on which Foggy turns up .

I've just seen a photo of Kate's shoes on the royal style thread. They hurt my feet just looking at them.

Rublev is playing very well- I think Foggy just fancied a rest.

I cannot wear high heels- despite being extra short. I find them uncomfortable. I think when you are as short as I am, very high heels end up making you look a bit odd. They don't make me look taller- just seem to emphasise my shortness. .

Kate, though, is just tall and glam- 2 things I have never been. I think she could turn up in a bin bag and look amazing.

(They might not let her in, though- unless it's a very posh).

Mind you...they let Serena and her bed sheets in ....

I used to be able to run around London in high heels and up and down escalators on the tube but now I can just about manage to walk in flat shoes. My balance is terrible.
