I think it’s good actually that they are doing another racism storyline with the same family because IRL racism is something that’s ever present and people experience it more than just once. It’s realistic that the baileys would experience it again.

According to Wikipedia the houses originally had 3 bedrooms and a lavatory in the yard, but over the years most of them converted the 3rd bedroom into a bathroom.

So how does Chesney's house Bernie, Joseph plus quads ditto the other houses like Devs if only 2 beds as it is open plan

What happened to Grace (when she was locked in the security guard's office!) was also framed as a racist incident and mentioned by Michael when listing the things the family has endured. As a pp mentioned, it's probably realistic in that it's something that is constantly encountered by black people and too often filtered out as no big deal or just one of those things.

It was, yes. I don't think the racism angle was actually highlighted at the time, but it's another incident in a long line of incidents.
