Detective Hannah (Lesley sharpe) is nearing ending her career and also having a secret fling with a colleague who ends up going missing

Billy (Vincent ragan) is brought in to find the missing policeman

Add in hannah’s son who she grassed up for Drugs and served a prison sentence

Looks good.

Well I still haven’t watched the other dramas 🙈 (zero concentration atm so I’m mainly watching crappy reality shows)

But

Signing in 🤣

Tana433 · 25/05/2021 19:21

This might well be good but i highly recommend you watch the original Swedish version on All 4 Walter Presents. It stars the gorgeous Adam Palsson. You can thank me later ladies!

SophieB100 · 25/05/2021 19:34

Thanks Blondes - am looking forward to this, love Lesley Sharp.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2021 19:41

@Tana433 I read it was based on Walter

I do like his stuff. Watching one at moment about dodgy copper who Shots his friend martin and tries to Cover it up

Let’s hope it’s good @SingToTheSky and @SophieB100

@Tana433 I'm on episode 3 of the Swedish version, series 1, enjoying it so far! I started after reading UK one was a remake of this and I'm a fan of The Bridge and others. Interested to know what UK one is like but I'll stick with just this for now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/05/2021 16:18

I may try Swedish version once seen this one

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/05/2021 21:28

I can't get into it at all!

eddiemairswife · 26/05/2021 21:40

Neither can I.

Cecillie · 26/05/2021 21:41

Some of the acting is a bit wooden and the whole torture thing is horrible

lynsey91 · 26/05/2021 22:39

I really enjoyed the Swedish one. Not sure whether to bother with this or not.

LadyEloise · 27/05/2021 08:40

Thank you Blondeshavemorefun
When I finished watching it, I thought " I wonder if Blondes will start a thread on this on Mumsnet."
And you did !!
Thank you.

It's good and I will continue to watch weekly but you do have to suspend disbelief- she stops outside the very boutique with the black dress in the window ( no other boutiques in Bristol ??? ) and just happens to find the phone.
No other pedestrian noticed it or stepped on it !!!!
No sign of the wronged wife who must be frantic with worry.

ilovebrie8 · 27/05/2021 09:02

I’m not feeling it. Not my thing and the torture scene was horrible ...think I’ll give this a miss. I like Lesley Sharp, I thought she looked much older in this ...maybe it was the camera angles

ArsenicNLace · 27/05/2021 09:20

I think the issue was I found the flashback sequences confusing. It wasn't clear at certain points where we were up to in the timeline so it distracted from the story.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/05/2021 14:15

You know me @LadyEloise

If I see a drama on bbc itv ch ch5 I do a thread if there isn’t one

I enjoyed - but regulars who know me , know I’m Easily pleased with tv dramas

But yes silly hours later she finds the shop and phone was still
On the ground

But otherwise good

Roll on next week

Did you watch Too Close when it was on ITV @Blondeshavemorefun ?
We in Ireland don't have ITV but have Virgin tv which gets a lot of its content from ITV - Coronation Street etc.
These go to air at the same time as the UK.
However drama series - thrillers etc often go out a couple of months later than the UK, which is annoying.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/05/2021 14:28

I did. Sure I did a post on it as well

stumbledin · 27/05/2021 14:50

I was so disappointed. Hadn't realised it was a remake of one of the Scandi Noir.

It is terrible in comparison. So superficial and somehow all the characters are just like every other character in every UK crime drama.

TV is just so bad at the moment.

Quite a few new series, you watch and think why did they bother.

Makes you wonder how we (the UK!) ever managed to make something like Happy Valley.

Sigh.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/05/2021 15:19

I haven’t seen orginal @stumbledin but I do love a good drama

Maybe if haven’t seen scandi one , we think this U.K. version is ok

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/05/2021 19:22

The flashbacks were good

I’m surprised no one said about don knoeing Sean was in trouble via his car

Sad he died first episode , thought he would have been in it longer
