Detective Hannah (Lesley sharpe) is nearing ending her career and also having a secret fling with a colleague who ends up going missing

Billy (Vincent ragan) is brought in to find the missing policeman

Add in hannah’s son who she grassed up for Drugs and served a prison sentence

Just googled & found out!

Looks good.

Will probably watch both as I do like Lesley Sharp.

KaptainKaveman · 02/06/2021 14:02

I have finished this and through Lesley S was awful Sad. Her son was quite good but overall a disappointing series.

Between this and The Handmaids Tale - my heart is hammering !

Its90minutestonight · 03/06/2021 06:59

Agree, Leslet Sharp is awful in this. Too placid. Sharon Small would have been better. Swedish version much better.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/06/2021 22:38

Seen and didn’t think that gorey in e2

OP posts:
LadyEloise · 04/06/2021 20:03

It's the suspense that gets me. Not the gore. My heartbeat races.
I've to psych myself up for The Handmaids Tale I recorded last night.
I'm a devil for punishment as this Season 4 !!!
My nerves are in tatters watching it.

RedthroatedCaracara · 06/06/2021 23:03

Lesley Sharp seems to have recovered from the gruesome torturing and murder of her lover very quickly!

Italiangreyhound · 06/06/2021 23:53

I've now seen it all. No spoilers but my opinion, it gets better. Like the Pact it gets better.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2021 14:59

No getting away from that

LadyEloise · 13/06/2021 10:59

I agree Blondes.

Have any of you on this thread watched the series Grace which was on ITV fairly recently ?
We only got it on Virgin tv last week in Ireland.
It is two film length police detective stories.
I watched it last night. It was really good.
Well worth a watch.

stumbledin · 13/06/2021 17:16

LadyEloise if you mean this series called Grace - see www.mumsnet.com/Talk/telly_addicts/4187560-Grace-Sunday-14-March ITV stupidly showed the first episode to compete with Line of Duty I think, and then said they wouldn't show the second episode until the autumn.

As to this show, I have sort of changed my mind about it in comparison to the original. In the original they had many more episodes, and so many of the plot lines were implausible that it actually works better to glide over them. eg how did the son get the pen recording device into the meeting. In this version we dont know. In the origianl it was hours (actually minutes of will he wont he).

But even with this cut down version hard to believe that the son has suddenly become this under cover expert and apparently willing to murder someone.

LadyEloise · 13/06/2021 18:17

Yes @stumbledin, that's the one. Most posters were unimpressed Sad
I thought it was really good. Disbelief had to be suspended though.

stumbledin · 13/06/2021 19:18

Sorry my comments about the show were directed at this one (Before we die)

But from memory I found the Brighton set one a bit cliched, and quite a few plot holes. But was cross with it for bumping out the last episode of the very silly detective show set in Bath (McDonald & Dodds) and then only showing one episode of Grace with a promise of the second one in the autumn when it will just appear out of the blue and not link in to having watched the first.

Suspect those who took part in Grace are really cheesed off at having their work messed around like this.

Think only me still watching this

Just snout to watch last nights before pick up toddler blondes from school

OP posts:
stumbledin · 17/06/2021 14:23

I'm still watching but just cant really believe in it.

Feel very detatched. Am starting to not be able to take crime dramas very seriously anymore.

Have been exploring old series on Drama channel (not crime) and been pleasantly surprised to find things I have watched.

stumbledin · 17/06/2021 14:24

Also of course, every one else binge watches and they are being very good and not coming on here to post spoilers!
