Strictly 2021!

Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? Grin I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

I do feel that one of the reasons Bill won last year was the public feeling like he was someone who had at least earned his celebrity, rather than someone who was using Strictly as a springboard to fame. I think the audience were feeling quite uppity last year (no we're not going to believe that HRVY is a thing, no matter how many times you tell us). I wonder if Robert Webb will benefit from that feeling this year or if he'll suffer from that phenomenon of the type of celeb who does well on Strictly one year failing to catch on the next year. (See Ann Widdecombe and Edwina Currie for details.)

Tilly not a surprise. Seems pleasant enough but my whelm is almost sound asleep. And to be fair, only Señor Wise has prevented me going full on hibernate.

I barely know any.
I guess it really doesn't matter, watching and getting to know them over the duration is always fun.
Though I always enjoy a "big" name signing!
That said it must get more and more difficult to choose people as the years go on...and I do think they are trying to pick those who appeal to the youth a bit more.....

Yes at least someone promising !!! By that I mean worth switching on for as I think Greg could be good, looks ok last time I saw a picture and always seems like a nice chap - hoping he gets a lovely partner on the show

@ppeatfruit I totally agree. I was a real Corrie fan when it was everyday life and gentle humour. Now it’s just sensationalism and trying to compete with EE for stupid storylines and I no longer watch .

I hope the public don't vote for some callow YouTuber who dances brilliantly over My Greg Wot I Fancy who, let's face it, probably won't. Imagine how elegant he would look with Nadiya. Imagine if he could have been partnered with Natalie Lowe and they produced beautiful ballroom together. Sigh.

Aw Tilly Ramsay looks normal enough. Greg Wise I only know from a bake off iirc stand up to cancer? Fair enough if he wants a moment in the spotlight.

Had a wee binge of ghosts. 8 episodes today.

It wasn’t what I expected at all. Yes it was funny but one of two moments (and more) moved me to tears.

Love it. I can’t believe it almost passed me by.
