Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

I too would have to google anyone from Corrie (if I used it) which I don't. Sparkling I used to watch until it became a misery fest to try to outdo EE. Now Yeuch

I watched many years ago. I also tried to get into Emmerdale but I seem to be a failed soap addict now. TBF I Googled Sinead and realised it's her that used to be in Corrie.

Oh God Sp;arkling Don't mention that terrifyingly bad soap Em !!! It has no redeeming features!! The script, the acting, the make up etc etc... DD1 used to edit HOaks and she said she had learned how to polish a shit !! That is even slightly better than Em !! I sometimes feel sorry for the actors, it's a job isn't it?

DM is addicted to it and when I'm caring for her I always 'forget' it's on !! We watch other much more interesting programmes that she actually enjoys !!

I used to about 30 odd years ago but not now. I miss Corrie of yore with Hilda, Stan and Ena and the likes.

Real life is fine - humour and sadness. The misery and murder fests are not my thing.

I probably would know most of them unless they did a Karim and made a great big song and dance while biting me on my harris 🤷‍♀️

Exactly Sheldon Real life is miserable enough without adding to our sadness overload.

Though strangely I'm actually watching Downton now on ITV3 (I got fed up with it when it first came out) it's is in another class entirely, it's still a soap.

Did you see the progs about Vic Wood recently where she does a wonderful pastiche of the old Corrie with Ena and the others in the pub? it was brilliant!

Is Waterloo Rd. any good Piggy ? I don't know the name but would probably recognise her.

Oh God I totally thought that Sara was in her 50s and the photo had been airbrushed whoops!!! I think it's the hairdo maybe makes her look a bit older. I'm on 3/8... recognised Dan Walker, not a clue who Katie is... bet she'll be a ringer though

Gordon Ramsay's daughter, hmm. The BBC bang on about diversity but they seem to have a massive blind-spot when it comes to nepotism and the well-connected. Aside from that, another underwhelming casting.

Yeah I'm also a bit underwhelmed by Tilly's signing... however, saying that, her 'journey' could be an interesting watch as I don't think she's had any previous training in dance. I'm looking forward to seeing what she can bring. No doubt the costume department are already busy adding sequins to chef uniforms 😄

Talking about airbrushing, why o why do the yoof today (esp. the gels) think that trout pouts are attractive ??????? DH said it look completely bleedin' bonkers. Well tbh I said that, but he did agree.

I don't get it at all to be honest. I'd be terrified to put that stuff in my lips and I honestly don't think it's a good look. But that's just me... I'm happy with my slightly lined lips aged 45, just slap on the lippy and off I go
