But then Jack is found dead and the 4 ladies make a pact to tell no one

Tensions will rise and secrets will appear

I liked it! My DD pointed out that we didn't actually see the nasty boss guy assault the woman in the car park, maybe something else was going on.
Nancy, despite being a Christian, was the one who was insistent that they don't report it to the police. (And yes about her disappearing for a wee...)
And odd that the aunt character Louie didn't invite the friends into her house but made them sit in the car. We also haven't seen inside her house...

I saw an interview with Julie Hesmondhalgh (just had to google the cast names! www.walesonline.co.uk/lifestyle/tv/pact-cast-actors-pembrokeshire-murders-20615766
And she said she really liked that it's not yet another murder story where the murder victim is a young woman, but instead the victim is a man and the story centres on 4 female friends. The writer also said he likes writing stories with strong female characters.

Nancy is definitely hiding something, too quick not to ring the police and very shifty looking.

The creepy woods is very Eastenders : they also like dead bodies in the woods set ups.
I'm not convinced by any of it and one woman being married to a policeman means it should be wrapped up soon , but we know it won't be.
I like the lady detective though and her owl impression.

Jack ripped that Jewellery off his aunts neck which means it might be significant? Plus her hair did look like a wig ? Maybe auntie was once his uncle ?
Eddie Marsden ( ?) ( the dad) is as always these type of characters !

Is this bad in a "bad and I won't bother watching again" way or "that was bad but weirdly compelling, when's the next episode?" like the Syndicate?

Louie has that kind of hairstyle in other programmes she's been in, so I don't think it's a wig. Interesting thought that she may not be quite as she seems though.

If they hadn't gone back to him , they could have gone to the police and admitted they had left him there but thought he would have come home as he was talking to them before they drove off and just wanted to teach him a lesson
As it is, he probably would have sacked them all anyway even if the photos had been put online etc. anyway , I think auntie is probably his mum ( maybe) or there is something dodgy going on with the dad too as he didn't go to the party, even though he was back from France in time.

Does anyone else think that 'Hayley from Corrie' doesn't look very well. The actress has always been slim but I thought she looked really gaunt and ill as soon as I saw her.

I have tried to find it with google but no success.

Have seen the first episode of both. Enjoyed both very much. Pleased to see Katherine Kelly back on screen. Unlike another actor/actress who played a "rough" type in Coronation Street and is rarely off our screens, Catherine can act and does not pull odd mouth movements. She can also alter her voice and accent very successfully.
