Is back tomorrow on BBC 2 at 9.30PM. Really looking forward to its return and hope it’ll be better than series 5 which was my least favourite so far.

The only one I've watched again from this series is the lipreader one .
The rest of them just ...no .

I was watching some programmes about the making of dinnerladies they said Victoria Wood wanted to stop it after two series and she was spot on. It couldn't have carried on with the same impact .

Whitechapel too . They stopped at the right time ( and Steve Pemberton was in Whitechapel as the horribly creepy Ripperologist . Not a no9 charcter but creepy none the less )

Also feel this series not as good as previous ones but have to say Steve Pemberton is a fabulous actor. He can play the jolly dad characters but he absolutely terrifies me when he plays a dark character.

Would highly recommend the podcast on bbc sounds by Steve and Reece. They had Sarah Parish on as guest too. Gave some great insight especially that the last episode was filmed half before the pandemic and half after.

I look forward to going back and listening to the other episodes.

I love the show, but was bitterly disappointed with the last episode. I thought it was muddled, ill-thought out and just kind of thrown together. Pemberton and Sheersmith are usually fantastic writers, but something was off about this one.
I also thought that the masturbation scene was unnecessary.

A rare failure.

I agree
