Is back tomorrow on BBC 2 at 9.30PM. Really looking forward to its return and hope it’ll be better than series 5 which was my least favourite so far.

I enjoyed it, looking forward to next week!

@imovethestarsforno1

oh and thanks twitter for pointing out the hare
They mention the hare in the podcast - they tell you in each podcast episode where the hare was in the previous Inside No 9 episode - so they will say where the hare was in Wuthering Heist in next week's podcast.

I love IN9, have been looking forward to this for a while. I enjoyed it and was confused by it at the same time. The absolute AUDACITY to put commedia del’arte (sp?) on Monday night BBC 2.

imovethestarsforno1 · 11/05/2021 18:17

@caveMum I know they tell you the next week but a clever bod actually spotted it screen shotted it and put it on twitter its really well hidden this week

covetingthepreciousthings · 11/05/2021 18:48

Does anyone know what next weeks is about?

covetingthepreciousthings · 11/05/2021 18:49

I saw a discussion on twitter where people are saying they can't enjoy the series as there are too many that end in sexual violence, I'm really struggling to think of that many that do? Maybe I've forgotten a lot of them.

SisterMichael · 11/05/2021 23:00

I think I definitely need to watch that one again. There’s a BFI At Home video for this series with Reece and Steve etc on YouTube and someone’s pointed out that Reece’s background looks a lot like the Dentons house in LoG!

ginandton1c · 11/05/2021 23:25

I watched tonight’s episode after a large glass of vino and have to confess I struggled to understand what was going on. Perhaps I need to watch it again tomorrow, sober!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/05/2021 19:38

Didnt think that good :(

desperatehousewife21 · 12/05/2021 21:19

Wasn’t one of their best. Couple of small laugh moments but not great for a comedy, I prefer their darker stuff.

legollama · 12/05/2021 21:45

I think it was a bit niche and knowing, all the panto style humour doesn't land well on tv without a live audience and the plot wasn't gripping.

DurhamDurham · 12/05/2021 22:23

I love Inside Number 9 but didn't really enjoy the first episode of this series. It all seemed a bit smug and self satisfied.

My favourite episode ever was Bernie Winters Dressing Room. I've watched it so many times and it still makes me cry. I lost my brother to alcoholism so I expect that has something to do with it.

I'll keep watching as I know it'll be a good series overall.

DataColour · 13/05/2021 14:57

Didn't quite get it the first time but I watched it again last night and enjoyed it. Worth a second watch!

BohemianRaspbery · 13/05/2021 22:40

i absolutely love inside no9. this was a bit of a marmite episode can someone explain the trinidad and tobago pun the other i got all the others maybe im being a bit thick and not gwtting that one

Twatstick · 13/05/2021 23:02

@BohemianRaspbery. Jamaica? No , she went of her own accord.

Furrybootsyecomfy · 14/05/2021 05:50

@BohemianRaspbery I thought the joke was that you were expecting another pun and instead he just confirmed that, yes, they did in fact go to Trinidad and Tobago. It’s entirely probable something’s gone right over my head though Grin

Yea this is what I thought too

@covetingthepreciousthings I can’t actually think of any that include sexual violence but I haven’t had a re watch for a while.
I googled it and there isn’t many according to this website that lists TV shows which include that sort of thing - www.unconsentingmedia.org/items/2296

Simon Says tonight is the episode title.. hoping it's better than last weeks Grin

CaptainHammer · 17/05/2021 22:16

For me it was much better this week! Classic twist episode. I prefer the episodes where it’s mainly just Steve and Reese too.

OP posts:
covetingthepreciousthings · 17/05/2021 23:50

I enjoyed this week, DH did call the twist and said is it getting a bit too obvious..

I also agree I prefer it when it's mainly them two. When Reece put on his acting voice I couldn't help but be reminded of Papa Lazarou, and also the "it's our fans now" (or similar line also reminded me).

BohemianRaspbery · 18/05/2021 07:50

going to catch up on last nights episode today on iplayer

@BohemianRaspbery @Furrybootsyecomfy
I am not totally sure but it might be a twist on another joke which goes:
Person A: My wife went to the Caribbean
Person B: Jamaica?
Person A: No she went of her own accord.

This episode was brilliant! Been part of a couple of fandoms where I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if something like this happened....

I'm wondering if Russell T Davies has consulted his lawyers Wink
Giggorata · 18/05/2021 13:42

I thought it was a reference to Game of Thrones, the fandom and the ending.
Loved it.
