Hope you all don’t mind, getting near the end of thread 7, so thought I’d trot this one out!

I thought they tested the bullets and they were from Kate's gun?

KFleming · 26/04/2021 17:26

Is the final episode just an hour, or is it longer like last series?

Bluntness100 · 26/04/2021 17:38

@WeeDonkey

Yes, but that could easily be faked...
Bluntness100 · 26/04/2021 17:38

To frame her,

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/04/2021 17:49

I said on previous thread that it’s too obvious to be Carmichael

She reminds me of the Cheshire Cat 😂

JaneJeffer · 26/04/2021 18:00

I think Kate definitely/definately shot Ryan. She's trained to shoot twice and he would have shot her otherwise.

Constantcrayfish · 26/04/2021 18:03

Absolutely Kate shot Ryan. He was pointing a gun at her and threatening to kill her. She shot him twice in the chest, which is how she'd been trained to shoot someone. It was her gun and there was gunpowder residue on her clothing.

Constantcrayfish · 26/04/2021 18:10

Argh. Went on Twitter for work purposes. Big giant SPOILER right there. Although not particularly a spoiler as it's something that doesn't surprise me. But still.

iklboo · 26/04/2021 18:17

She reminds me of the Cheshire Cat

Or in her case, the Cheshire Twat.

Bluntness100 · 26/04/2021 18:27

Can’t believe it’s getting eleven million viewers. That’s huge..

14 million watched Scott marry Charlene, back in the day!

Exactly this. I think people are looking for things which are never going to exist.

True, but that was when we had four channels..😃

@PawFives

Mother of god, some great theories on here! I’m convinced there must be something more to Kate and Jo fleeing the scene, Kate’s too clever to panic. Carmichael is probably just horrible and ambitious rather than corrupt. Still no wiser why Chicken Licken was in this series. Can’t wait till next week.
I'd be surprised if there's not a flashback next week to the missing minutes after the bullets fired at Ryan.
PomLikeTheBattle · 26/04/2021 18:38

We’ve been using ‘wee donkey’ a lot at work today.

It's on for an hour. PP said 90 minutes but Radio Times says differently amongst other. Think previous finales may have been 90 mins but this series has 7 episodes instead of the usual 6.
GlassBoxSpectacular · 26/04/2021 18:53

Well, if the spelling is anything to go by, it seems that ‘H’ is the person responsible for the signage at Jo’s station 🤔

That’s what I think, Kate was fully trying to evade the police. She didn’t want to put her gun down at all. She thought she was being set up and said it twice. Something has caused her to think that. Something we haven’t seen yet.

LemonTT · 26/04/2021 19:10

Well I don’t really understand why Kate fled the scene but the only rational would be that Jo was about to be arrested and wouldn’t talk.

Basically Kate needs Jo to tell the truth about the shooting. Jo needs Kate to see the truth about her and to solve the murder. Jo could only show her because she would never make a statement. Kate puts herself at risk to get to the truth without Jo being shown to rat.

Series 6 : it’s all about rats, moles and donkeys.

Yes.

Strangeways19 · 26/04/2021 19:25

We work to the letter of the law. THE LETTER!!
anyone seen that wee donkey?

drspouse · 26/04/2021 19:37

I thought Jo and Kate fled the scene because they were afraid more members of the OCG were on the way?

WeeDonkey · 26/04/2021 19:38

You called?!
quirkychick · 26/04/2021 19:44

I agree there must be something more we don't knoe to Kate and Jo fleeing the scene. The lack of surveillance may have added to Katie's suspicions, but there is something she knows that we don't. Will we get a flashback, a bit like with Lindsey Denton, filling in some missing bits?

GlassBoxSpectacular · 26/04/2021 19:46

@drspouse

I thought Jo and Kate fled the scene because they were afraid more members of the OCG were on the way?
Seems very likely. You don’t shoot the OCG-er who has been sent to assassinate you, then stand around having a chat.
