Hope you all don’t mind, getting near the end of thread 7, so thought I’d trot this one out!

@Libelula21 - I agree. There will be enough tied up in the final episode re Jo etc, but think there will be clues/cliffhanger re police corruption which paves the way for (sob) final season 7.

I wonder if Jo's mum faked her suicide and moved to Spain and the OCG/Thurwall were able to manipulate Jo by threatening her mum's life? It's why she's still so cagey.

Although, the fan theories have been more cohesive and interesting than the actual storylines for the last two series.

A bit disappointed by tonight’s episode. Too interrogation heavy considering it’s the penultimate episode. Wish the plot was moved on further but it really looks like their intention is to set up the next season more than anything, so I’m expecting lots of loose end s

Does anyone else read these threads with LOD voices in their heads?
Currently Ted is 'narrating' for me.

I love Anna Maxwell Martin in this. I keep trying to picture her as the frazzled mum from Motherland and yet can’t, which I suppose is the mark of a great actor.

As someone in Twitter said, I love to think that LOD and Motherland occupy the same universe and that Carmichael has a really chaotic home life.

I think Nige was nasty, but not OCG-nasty.

When he discovered Dot's burner phone in the car and relayed this to Dot, it didn't seem like he knew all about it already.

I got the feeling that AMM knew that Kate was deep, deep under cover after the final interview scene with her. It was the way she was v casual with Jo taking the rap & she was in saviour mode with Kate. AMM said 'I'm not guillable but I'm pragmatic' so it felt like a nod to Kate to continue her investigation. I don't know, my head was scrambled after watching that.

Carmichel is definitely coming across as suspicious now. Trying to prevent questions being asked and re directing the interrogation.

Awfully convenient she's I'm a position now to get rid of Steve and chloe and ensure there's no one to fight for Kate the way kate fought for Steve when he was arrested. She has to be involved

I think Wise is bent and AMM was planted in AC-12 as a disrupter.

Would anyone watch next series if Ted retired & AMM took over?

I did feel that Jo might be protecting someone else with her "no comments", as opposed to just keeping herself safe,

Me too - I was underwhelmed tonight, far fetched car chases and too many no comments.

I keep seeing AMM as Beelzebub in Good Omens. Makes her unpleasantness far more understandable what with her being Satan and all

She doesn't need to fight for Kate though, as she's accepted Jo's version of events, 'I'm not gullible, but I am pragmatic'. Kate is now free to carry on investigating.

Which is why Jo and Kate absconded, as some PP have said. To get stories straight and to show Kate places which will help.

I think the body in Spain won't be Jimmy Nesbitt.

It would be too obvious for Carmichael to be involved.

Carmichael much too obvious but Jesus Mary and Joseph and the poor wee donkey I do want to slap that smug smile off her face! Cute that Kate and Steve have each other’s keys for emergencies though

I think Carmichael knows something and is actually a good guy! Think she's been brought in to reveal that person, but that person is way above what Jo, Steve et al suspect. So she's trying to stop the exposure of that person because she knows it will lead to H if they leave it running.

How long will Jo last in the prison of doom?
