So another itv drama. I liked too close , the drowning one and few others

On every night this week

When primary school teacher Gemma goes missing in Manchester , surveillance officers martin and Stella are tasked with observing the prime suspect , Gemma boyfriend Greg

I’m guessing it’s too obvious to be the bf so if she is dead /not found it’s not him

But blondes has known to be wrong 😂

Whatever he's done or not done, it should be a police matter not trial by media.
Why have these women gone to the papers rather than the police?

DDiva · 30/04/2021 16:07

@owlpicture that is not how the UK justice system works.

DDiva · 30/04/2021 16:09

Putting it on the hub is fine for most of us but it is disadvantaging those who do not have internet such as the elderly and those on the lowest incomes. That seems unfair.

CarlaH · 30/04/2021 16:12

If anybody does see the last episode on the hub could they please give a quick summary.

KittytheHare · 30/04/2021 16:18

Am in Ireland, so Hub not accessible. Dammit

excelledyourself · 30/04/2021 16:23

Excuse my ignorance, but is the hub the same as STV player?

The programme has been made and this isn't fair on the other actors. Show the finale and dont employ Clarke again.

The itv hub is unusably clunky, and of course you cant skip the ads.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/04/2021 16:31

Yes the ads drove me mad Sunday while trying to watch

Paused it fir a wee and went back to the beginning and froze so I gave up and watched at home mon am

owlpicture it's not that I don't believe them. But we don't know.

Piggywaspushed · 30/04/2021 16:33

Why would female co stars come forward and support him? Whether they personally like him or not is pretty irrelevant to serious allegations. The other actors will work again and , to be honest, may not want their work associated with his...

Inkanta · 30/04/2021 16:34

I think it's very odd that the allegation has come out today on the last day of this drama. And then it gets pulled. Is it just coincidence or a sabotage. Takes away the seriousness of the allegation and makes it into a drama.

BrittanyKAMA · 30/04/2021 16:38

Is it just coincidence or a sabotage.

It is strange, isn’t it?

SophieB100 · 30/04/2021 16:42

I've recorded all these so I can binge watch.
But the final episode is only available on the hub until this Sunday.
I won't have time to watch the other 4 before then, so I'll just delete the recorded four and forget it.
Seems unfair - regardless of the allegations, an expensive series has been made and shown over a week, so many are already invested and have now wasted time. Not fair on the rest of the crew/actors/production company or us.
We're not kids - if we are offended by watching this guy, we won't watch will we?

My elderly mum will be disappointed, she was enjoying this and relies heavily on subtitles. She struggles with the Hub.
Unimpressed all round!

Unsure33 · 30/04/2021 16:49

I agree about this trial by media for actors and even politicians to be fair .

It does look as if these accusations are spread over a long period of time and of course they should be investigated , but I am at the stage of wanting just a quick statement

Xxx is going to be investigated by xxxx with regards to xxxxx.

And that’s it . No wild allegations or assumptions by newspapers or news readers ,just facts and let the right authorities get on with it without prejudicing any investigation or trial .

And I agree in this case it’s not fair on the actors or any of the other many people involved in the production .

Piggywaspushed · 30/04/2021 16:51

The allegation came out yesterday/the day before . It is actually linked to his recent BAFTA and nothing to do with this programme. I think the content and theme of the programme are problematic given the allegations.

I am surprised a load of woman want to look beyond this really but hey ho. As you were.

Baconking · 30/04/2021 16:56

@Blondeshavemorefun

The hub often doesn’t have subtitles, much to mine and my dads very deaf disgust

Seems very unfair to rest of crew and cast

And what happened to innocent before proven guilty

And happened over 20yrs

Then why come forward now

Coz he’s famous

Also sad that his friend and co star in bulletproof has dropped their friendship

The stories may be true

So not

Hopefully some of his female co stars sill come forward and support him

He's been famous for 20 years not just now.

Why would you want female co stars to support him? Are you suggesting 20 women are lying?

Fucksake!! This is exactly why women don't report this kind behaviour.
If you haven't read the full article I suggest you do..and if you have and still think this way because you find him so sexy...you need your head read!

augustusglupe · 30/04/2021 16:59

We were really enjoying it. Seems unfair on all the others involved in the series. Will watch it on Hub then.

Piggywaspushed · 30/04/2021 17:00

The female lead has been on Twitter today retweeting support for the 20 women...

PrincessScarlett · 30/04/2021 17:03

Agree that it's totally unfair on the rest of the cast and production. Noel Clarke's career is finished now isn't it. Sky have also dropped him today. Stupid stupid man to think he can behave like he's some sort of God.

PrincessScarlett · 30/04/2021 17:03

Also, wonder what his wife thinks about all of this. Poor woman.

Rummikub · 30/04/2021 17:11

Zoe?
Newgirls · 30/04/2021 17:15

I think it’s the right move

Sends a strong message to men like him and also would have looked really disrespectful when ratings were boosted (because ghouls would watch due to the news)

Newgirls · 30/04/2021 17:17

I doubt the other actors etc in it mind. Probably relieved and maybe some asked for it to be pulled so not associated with him now they know

Cocolapew · 30/04/2021 17:17

My mum and dad don't have broadband Hmm, fair enough don't employ him again but to pull the last episode of a whodunnit is unfair.
