Ian is a great character.

Now that Ian's back I feel like we were really missing that kind of character in the show!

I mean they're very closely bonded professionally and personally. They seem more a cohesive unit than the other HCPs.

I did think it ironic when Lev made some 'how would you know?' comment to Ian (when discussing the former's mental health), given the latter's descent into deep depression.

Yes I wondered if we'd see some sort of conversation between Iain and Lev where Iain helps him in some way, as I wondered if Lev was slightly suicidal due to his dangerous motorbike riding and not caring what happened to him...

@Sojo88 maybe still to come? I think the initial friction between the two is likely to turn into a proper friendship at some stage. Ian is very much a 'rescuer' by nature (and profession), I would say. There's no reason why he won't work his magic with Lev too (he's already played a big part in saving Jan from her son).

I had this feeling that Faith may end up pregnant from her ONS with Dylan but in some ways that would be too similar to what happened with Fenisha and Ethan, wouldn't it?

Childcare?

Between Fenisha and Ethan, they'll have a take-home income of over £100K so well able to afford childcare I would have thought. I think childcare would be less of a consideration in Casualty (where they're all reasonably well paid HCP) than Eastenders.

And don't forget they've got a nursery on the hospital site or very near it at least!

I agree, if Robyn can afford to use the crèche for Charlotte I'm sure Ethan's wages will stretch even if fanisha struggles

Yes they did say she was going back early and Ethan was taking shared parental leave.

I said that to Dh - I bet they’re married as otherwise they’d have to be 6 foot apart!!

I think Iain is back-back, rather than just back for a couple of episodes. The actor took an extended break but from what I’ve read, I think he’s now rejoined the cast.

I liked last night’s episode although I can’t warm to Tina. Faith is an odd one too- already getting a thing for Iain? Want the Dylan thing meant to be true passion? It all seems a bit disjointed at the moment.

Yeah Iain had an affair with Sam when she was married to Dylan.

@NewModelArmyMayhem18 Ah yes it really does, definitely quite a bit of history between them. I do wonder how Dylan would feel seeing another women he loves end up with Iain again..
