Oh god, so disappointed in that episode. So much hype prior to it.
Confusing and so many questions.
I had to keep telling myself, it's 2020, that's why Ian isn't gone back to being a paramedic. Charlie just lost Duffy so he's still grieving so is still narky. The hospital looks different because it's in the height of covid and people dying because no vaccinations. Then the flashbacks to 2006, yes many don't remember the episode but why did they choose that particular episode? There's so many other episodes that were just as good as the 2006 one and people would remember. It would have been better to air the 2006 episode before it, just to refresh people's memories.
It's ridiculous really because having Ian clutching at his chest and leaving us wondering if he'll be OK doesn't make sense because we know he's OK as he's in the 2021 episodes. Charlie and the brain scans, not one mention of this for the whole of 2021.
What's funny is the comments on fb and twitter where people are saying they hope Tess stays, well we know she doesn't as the episode is Christmas 2020 and she never appeared for the whole 2021. People saying they hope Ian is OK.
I was finding myself checking how long was left on the episode and saying "this is boring", a few times.
Not impressed at all, felt more annoyed that I sat waiting for something exciting to happen.
