Oh for god's sake

TrashyPanda · 21/11/2021 13:31

Well, that was boring.

Love the idea that you can have major surgery, then be unconscious for three day, but when you eventually wake up, you are as bright as a button.

The guy with the gun used to play a psychiatrist in Casualty, and went off with Toby.

EmeraldShamrock · 21/11/2021 13:32

I can't believe Stevie has not learned any lessons on holding a grudge.
Poor Eathan.
Stevie messed up twice without any punishments.
She is a good actress because I really don't like her. 🤣

Optimist1 · 21/11/2021 15:25

I found it hard to believe that Ethan was swayed by Stevie's competence as a doctor. A person could be competent as well as a psychopath. Harold Shipman?? I guess his grief is blurring his vision. At least he sounded resolute about being a proper father to Bhodi.

EmeraldShamrock · 21/11/2021 19:20

Stevie only short of confessed to Faye it went over her head completely.

Sojo88 · 21/11/2021 19:31

Yes I found Faith's extreme loyalty to Stevie a bit weird and quite annoying - so far they haven't exactly seemed friends!

Did Ethan tell Dylan the truth about Stevie in the end? I wasn't sure if he told him the truth but Dylan is turning a blind eye, or if Ethan told him a different story.

Also I completely agree @Optimist1.

purpleme12 · 21/11/2021 20:05

The whole thing annoyed me really

EmeraldShamrock · 21/11/2021 20:08

*Faith. I couldn't think of her name.
Stevie was so rude to faith recently, grief aside there is no need.

Ethan didn’t tell Dylan everything that had happened, he backed up what Stevie had said earlier to Dylan about Mr Reynolds and that’s all.

I got the impression that Dylan didn’t quite believe that Stevie and Ethan were giving him the full story though, hence his comments about going on a long walk to have a good think about why exactly he’s doing the job.

Yes! That's who he was. Was trying to remember where I'd seen him before. I watched those episodes recently on classic casualty too.
Sojo88 · 22/11/2021 00:08

@Shelllc130 ah ok, thanks! Yes I think you're right- I think Dylan definitely suspects something happened between them. I wish Ethan had told him the truth!

Platax · 22/11/2021 01:21

If they must keep Stevie in, surely she has to have the standard character transplant to make it workable? She can't keep up the pantomime villainy for ever, surely?

JakeyRolling · 22/11/2021 10:46

I wish Jan and Ffion hadn't reconciled- that was oh so predictable.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2021 20:52

I wish Ethan told the truth

Obv Jen and if got back together

I don't even like them I think Ffion is rather cold And I preferred Jan before, not as she is with Ffion
EmeraldShamrock · 22/11/2021 22:09

I think Dylan suspects something, I'd imagine he is way too forward to keep a lid on it if he knew the facts.
I feel really sorry for Eathan. not excusing his mistake
I think Stevie will break his soul over the coming weeks.

purpleme12 · 22/11/2021 22:16

Ethan's too nice for his own good

purpleme12 · 27/11/2021 21:45

This is too much for me, with Rash

DontWantTheRivalry · 27/11/2021 22:41

I love Rash.

I’m glad it wasn’t a storyline that was going to drag on for months and months.

Mind you, that’s me just assuming it’s come to a natural end.

EmeraldShamrock · 28/11/2021 08:42

I haven't seen it yet, when I read the highlights I thought it was extreme for rash, but these gangs are master manipulators while Rash is a really sweet guy with some ties to the area, it is possible to be taken over by them.
Cuckoo's are a disturbing reality for the vunerable.

Optimist1 · 28/11/2021 11:55

I was surprised Dylan didn't have a conversation with the social worker to confirm that the woman with cerebral palsy had been looking after herself during the pregnancy. He could have encouraged her to say that her abusive partner was no longer a part of her life and that she'd committed to AA meetings in readiness for being a mother. Dylan's workload doesn't usually interfere with his compassion.

TrashyPanda · 28/11/2021 14:03

I love Rash, and wish he was more prominent, but I hated this SL and am so glad it’s finished. Couldn't stand the woman who died.

Can we please have him finding love again? He deserves a happy SL.

What has Faith done to her hair? It looked really greasy.

New doctor is so unmemorable I have no idea what he is called.

Great to see the Dylan/David double act.

DontWantTheRivalry · 28/11/2021 14:59

I agree that Faith looks a bit out of sorts lately.

Is the actress ill? She looks it.

I thought Dylan was really compassionate with Paula throughout and you could see how much he wanted to help her, I felt the storyline just needed more time in the episode. I think Dylan was a bit thrown when the social worker quickly started going on about her first child and why they were taken into care, which makes sense as Dylan had to go into care when he was younger and Paula's story had very similar ties to Dylan’s own history.

But before he really had any time to properly think about things he was called away to treat patients from an RTC. And it ended with Paula saying it would be his fault if her baby was taken into care, it definitely feels like it’s being set up for an ongoing storyline?

spiderlight · 28/11/2021 17:46

I hope we do see more of Rosie Jones - I love her and it's nice to see her in a serious role.
