Sah is played by a transgender actor called Arin

TrashyPanda · 16/10/2021 11:13

I’m hearing impaired and found Sah almost impossible to understand - the actor mumbles terribly. The character seems very bumptious and overbearing.
Poor Joseph. Great storyline and well acted.
Any episode without Ethan crying is a bonus.

SillyBub · 16/10/2021 18:49

I'm a lurker not a poster on this thread but just thought I'd give a heads-up for anyone who doesn't know; BBC are not airing the planned episode tonight (or any episode) due to the murder of Sir David Amess yesterday. No comment yet as to whether it will air next week.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/10/2021 12:31

Ha I did wonder what happened to casualty

And e8

9 is on for next week. Unless they show 8

I’ve read that the BBC are going to show the episode they cancelled next week, the info they’ve put out for this week’s episode implies that it centres around the paramedics. This should work seeing as (I’m not giving anything away) the spoiler I read for the cancelled episode read that something happens that would have us scratching our heads and wondering if hospital based episodes were shown out of sync.

MadisonAvenue · 22/10/2021 11:00

And yeah, Sah is annoying. First impressions weren’t good.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/10/2021 12:15

I did think last weeks was good. Showed tins mh struggles well. And her lying And Joseph’s embarassement over being a man besten up by a woman

Well I really enjoyed tonight's episode. Made a change from all the usual dramas going on! A few things annoyed me but I'll let them pass Grin

Yes, agree with this. Also please add arrogant and cocky

The fact every new paramedic for an age is the same personality is getting a tad boring!

Saying that I did like tonight's episode. Less about the staff's drama llama lives

Gilmorehill · 24/10/2021 17:10

Last night’s episode was the best for a while. I agree Sah is arrogant and a bit cold. Jan was really funny, just like in the episode about Ethan’s wedding. She’d be great in a sit com.

She was fab in Stella as Auntie Brenda Grin
spiderlight · 24/10/2021 21:30

I loved Jan in last night's - 'I can't do my Big Shop like this, Ian...' Grin I felt awful for the poor man left on the floor all those hours though.

TrashyPanda · 25/10/2021 18:21

It was lovely to see Jan having a laugh. Time for a positive SL for her?

Is it really a thing for paramedics to have their nephews come to work at the same ambulance station as them? We’ve had Jeff and his nephew, now Jan and her nephew. Cant remember any doctor or nurse having a younger relative working so closely with them.

Not sure why the ankle injury was prioritised as more urgent than an old man lying on the floor for hours with a broken hip. Seemed rather perverse.

Sah did speak more clearly, but still had an unpleasant, haughty “I know everything and I’m ten times better than you” attitude.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/10/2021 19:58

I think it's about how the calls are translated. She called to say he had fallen but it was only a category 3 because she'd just said he'd fallen. The other ones were laid on heavy - like insta girl with her heart issues etc. It should be run as an infomercial

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 26/10/2021 08:28

Just caught up with it and agree that it was awful to see how the old man was left lying there for hours - not only was fake chest pains woman prioritised over him but presumably Jan and Theo could have gone to him rather than to fake ankle injury woman. How come she got an ambulance so easily? They just sat around chatting and getting stoned!

Warmed a bit more to Sah in that episode - seems quite thoughtful and to be taking it seriously at least - but Theo leaves me cold. He just seems like an immature dick even when not stoned.

Love Iain, though.

MadisonAvenue · 27/10/2021 23:20

That was a good episode, I properly laughed at Jan 😂

Quite close to home and hard to watch in parts though. Very recently we waited 7 hours for an ambulance to arrive to my 86 year old mother who’d fallen. We didn’t want to move her in case she’d broken something so she was on the floor all that time. Thankfully she had a different outcome.

purpleme12 · 29/10/2021 23:08

I love Ian

Optimist1 · 30/10/2021 23:15

So who do you reckon will be the first to suffer the effects of Stevie's wrath? I think she'll continue to play the long game with Ethan, but will take some sort of revenge on Dear Dylan for stealing "her" job.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 31/10/2021 08:22

I find Stevie utterly unlikeable. But yes, think she'll be exacting revenge on Dylan now too.

Poor Rash getting naively sucked into helping gang members out.

We haven't seen David for a while, have we?

TrashyPanda · 31/10/2021 23:26

We were shocked.

Totally shocked.

Ethan had tears in his eyes (no change there) but he didn’t cry. Not one tear trickled down his face.

We are marking this remarkable turn of events on the calendar, as crying is his normal way of expressing emotion.

Wonderful to see more of Dylan. Now, let’s have more of Dylan and David, cos they are wonderful together.

Charlie looks older and more frail with every single episode. It really is stretching credulity that we are expected to believe he could make it through a whole ED shift.

unvillage · 02/11/2021 00:11

I think Stevie's brilliant, great fun! I find it so weird that every soap thread on this forum gets so cross about every single new woman.

Was holding my breath this episode thinking this would be Dylan's exit. I hope this means he gets more storylines as clinical lead, he hasn't had much since his relapse/hot girlfriend moments a couple years ago. God forbid we ever lose him, I will honestly cry.

I don't know what is going to happen with Stevie. It might be a really big blowup but I really hope that Ethan ends up resigning before she ever gets any kind of revenge. I like them both, he's lovely and she has good reason to be angry. Can't wait to see how it goes

unvillage · 02/11/2021 00:13

And yes very much time to retire Charlie. It is so shocking to see him these days. The poor man needs a rest. I assume he lives close to where Casualty is filmed so they can bring him out every few episodes, but he's hardly a character now - they must be leading up to his farewell. Maybe in tune with the Holby City goodbyes?

LavenderAskew · 02/11/2021 09:08

They hopefully will have Charlie just retire, rather than blow him up or get kidnapped.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 02/11/2021 16:01

I'd be very surprised if they just let the longest-serving Casualty member of staff, walk off into the sunset. They possibly don't know what to do with him plot-wise, as Duffy's exit storyline can't easily be trumped.
