I love a good spoiler! Please post any spoilers here and keep the other threads clean.

Note: I have no spoilers of my own to share!

I don't get all these threads.

How is it a spoiler to say that CARMICHAEL IS BACK, when it's in the national press, in the trailer, LoD are tweeting it...

I am very glad she is back.

AvonCallingBarksdale · 13/04/2021 13:57

I think some people are actively trying to avoid all media about it Confused. I think that’s pretty impossible but I guess that’s the issue??

AvonCallingBarksdale · 13/04/2021 13:58

It’s not a spoiler IMVHO not in the same vein as “I’ve seen the whole series and this is how it ends”, which most definitely is a spoiler Grin

storminabuttercup · 13/04/2021 14:23

Was that the spoiler? Carmichael?
I thought it was something dead juicy!

TheSpottedZebra · 13/04/2021 14:44

I didn't see the spoiler when it was posted on one of the other threads so maybe IT WAS something juicy and spoilery?
But reading between the lines, it was about Carmichael. Which we should be celebrating, as the character (and actress) are excellent Grin

Will Ted call her Ma'am?

storminabuttercup · 13/04/2021 15:15

I have a potential spoiler. AKA doing a bit of digging. Stephen Graham is listed as being in this series, I know others are from video recordings but would be listed when we only heard his voice? Or will we be revisiting some of his past?

If that's what it is then it's not a huge secret she's on Zoe ball tomorrow to talk about it, Steve Wright has just announced it
ServedWithAReg15 · 13/04/2021 19:03

How strange if that’s the spoiler!

Ikeameatballs · 13/04/2021 19:09

@storminabuttercup where did you see Stephen Graham as being listed?

I’ve looked on the cast list on IMDB but can’t see him. Not much else that would help understand who the link to Jo is either. IE no old names cropping up.

Ooh yes!

Could of course be be just his voice rather than a flash back scene

NobbySignaler · 13/04/2021 22:10

It makes sense with Steph being in it this series.

Icanflyhigh · 13/04/2021 22:13

If you have an Alexa, ask them
who H is.....

Rillington · 13/04/2021 23:25

Patrick Fairbank is also listed as being in this series. It's all getting very confusing.

weewitch · 13/04/2021 23:28

Just asked Alexa - that's brill!

ServedWithAReg15 · 14/04/2021 07:18

In the teaser photos the BBC posted Steve, Jo, Chris and Chloe are all in stab vests and raiding a property together so that suggests to me that they are either rogue or departments working together and JD’s involvement in whatever shape or form hasn’t been revealed at that point?

WeeGobshiteBentBastard · 14/04/2021 07:31

I just read an article about the BBC Maestro site which runs courses in various things, among them how to write for TV run by Jed Mercurio. Apparently there was a major leak on part of the video for this course which reveals a clip of Arnott interviewing a character played by a well known TV face (not previously in the show at all) but I 'm not sure if I should say who the actor is? better to google 'bbc maestro line of duty leak'. I don't want to say any more.

Surely it's a publicity stunt?
margoyuwer · 14/04/2021 08:06

Which article reveals the name, the few i've seen mention a leak but then don't share details. Considering the site offers writing courses from Jed at £80 per person i reckon its a set up leak

A few give a list of 'suspects' including very famous Scottish actors. We are being taken for a ride I think
WeeGobshiteBentBastard · 14/04/2021 08:53

Yes it could well be a planted red herring!

WeeGobshiteBentBastard · 14/04/2021 08:54

I've read so much about LoD over the last few days that I need to step away....
