Ok, I've started a new one in anticipation of Thread 3 filling up tonight, part way through the episode!

I’m just BORED of this series. I can’t follow the plot and I don’t care whodunnit. It’s so disappointing. It’s like the scriptwriter wrote it on the back of a beer mat when drunk. The actors seem bored too.

Steve seems to be suggesting that whoever it is has been on the DNA database for some time ...

Does that mean if it was examined back when she joined than a match would have been found?

Very strange- DCI Gates date of death was 5 months before the date of that phone call shown in Buckells phone records...

Chloe did speak to Steve to get his permission to evacuate the van. So he could have declined it, I guess. But he was worried the bullets would penetrative 5he an anyway.

But then again, if he was dead, there would be no record of that.

Given how he had the gun on the back of Jo's head, I reckon Ryan was the one who killed Gail.

That has been my assumption since he popped up again and we know he’s killed before. It’s definitely implying he did it.

Agree- he’s not entirely innocent but has got involved on account of being an incompetent muppet and doesn’t know how to dig himself out of the hole

I thought there was just the one UK National DNA Database

And you don’t have to have been convicted to be on it - anyone who has ever been arrested could be in there (even if never charged, or if later acquitted). Not so sure about samples volunteered by the public for elimination purposes, but I think they’re kept too

Can you really get info on phone records going back 8 years?

I don't think the date of the Gates call being after his death is significant. It'll more likely be an oversight - just as the date on Steve's emails the day of the MIT raid, they didn't match.

I was watching the bullet dents carefully. None looked like they were breaching the van but there was a lot of them I guess. But climbing up out of the van would leave them clear targets too.
