I thought the nod between lakewell and Steve was because it was obvious Steve had back problems in the van and lakewell hadn't mentioned it

I do think that Jimmy said something in the van, as they discussed evidential value (or lack thereof).

I hope Ted hadn't visited Banks again. They suspected him of telling him about Corbett last series!

They were all at the same station (as was Kate, under cover) in S1. Ringing a colleague isn't inherently suspicious, but it does point to long association with OCG. Still strikes me as too dim to be a key player, but perhaps slightly on the hook (blackmailed over sexual approaches to female suspects - wonder what those initials meant)

Why was Buckles put in that prison? He's a quite high ranking Police Officer and the police put him in a prison with hardened criminals and known OCG/bent prison guards inside? Whose idea was that?

Yes, I wondered that too.

Definitely talking about Jo’s DNA.
A nominal stored on other police databases. And a he.

It also said that police DNA is collected for exclusion and isn’t routinely screened against nominal DNA databases. So this was only picked up because they ran it through other databases.

Lakewell definitely said something that was off record and couldn't be used as evidence.

He chose to go back to prison and said that he was being well looked after.

If Lakewell said Jo was his daughter, that might explain things. She could be being blackmailed to do things to keep her Dad safe in prison.

Whatever Lakewell said, Arnott has to find evidence for and prove. He would know to double check the DNA records.

That was a bit far-fetched, wasn’t it? He’s only just been charged, so why would he instantly be put in the same prison as Jimmy?

I think the fact that Chloe didn’t know what the results meant suggest it’s someone before her time. And surely no way Lakewell is old enough to be her dad.

Don't think Jimmy old enough to be Jo's dad. Think related though.

Wasn't he in on it with prassaad who "got him" carly who was part of the ring organised by Tommy hunter.

Far enough away to have plausible deniability but close enough that you don't quite buy he had no involvement with any of it. Especially as he was having the affair with Denton who was also partly responsible for getting hunter killed

The screen grab above says Davidson born 1979 so surely not Lakewell’s daughter. I know someone said he had aged but he’s not old enough to have a 42 year old daughter surely!

I think Jo is too old to be Lakewell’s daughter. Kelly Macdonald is 45.

One other thing, it was definitely Lee Banks that killed Jimmy. The guy who killed the informer at the beginning was called Carl Banks I think, is he a relative??
