Ok, I've started a new one in anticipation of Thread 3 filling up tonight, part way through the episode!

I agree Chloe's the likely leak.

On a sad note, Sarah Hughes , the Guardian journalist who has written a blow by blow Line of Duty blog since season 1 died earlier this week .

It’s way too suspicious to me that they keep mentioning Osborne, the shooting from the very first episode of S1, showing him in news clips etc.

My current theory is that the race comments refer to that botched shooting and the fact that Osborne is H. I don’t think that would come as a massive surprise, but obviously that would put H in the top job, ready for a giant showdown.

I agree that Chloe is looking dodgy and Lakewell saying directly to Steve in front of Chloe about Steve knowing he definitely hasn't talked was a hint to Steve.

Another vote for The Shield! Rewatched it only a few months ago and it’s still as superb as it was when it first came out. Superb TV.

Does anyone remember Carly someone from one of the early series? I think she was missing presumed dead but actually got away. I keep waiting for the story to arc it's way back to her?!

Yes I rewatched season 2 recently - it ended saying her whereabouts are currently unknown!

But her involvement from the OCG’s point of view was to blackmail Mike Dryden, who had to resign from the police so isn’t likely to feature again. Also seeing Tommy Hunter attack Carly caused Lindsay Denton to arrange to have him killed but Hunter and Dryden are both dead. So I’m not sure whether she would be likely to be back but who knows!

Can't be related to Corbett as he wouldn't be on the nom database, he'd be on police, and they said this was on the noms?

I definitely think Chloe is too good to be true.

What was the nod between Steve and Lakewell? He said he'd be safe in prison because he didn't talk and said that's right isn't it DI Arnott.

I hope Chloe is the leak as that would justify the very stilted weird acting. Especially in those interviews. Oof.

Also felt sorry for Buckells, think just incompetent rather than bent. Sorry to see Jimmy go, although he'd aged quite a bit and was not as appealing.

The Ryan thing is too irritating makes me want to stop watching.
