Anyway... Corrie in 1998.

Kevin and Alison’s story has had two mentions in recent modern day episodes. The scriptwriters are definitely watching (and hopefully learning!)

Let's good so ,they need to go back to basics ,I don't watch modern Corrie very often ,but I watched a bit of that ridiculous sink hole storyline ,it's like dynasty of the 80,s totally unbelievable

Wasn't it to do with receiving and handling stolen goods? Think he used Vicky's money.

Love maud. She was a fabulous character. And the way she looks out for Ashley and puts Fred in his place is just lovely.

Sarah is going to get pregnant soon. Bethany was born in the May/June of 2000 (I recall it because that’s when I met ex DH).

I find Maud is like a working class version of the Queen. She looks like her too somewhat.

Bethany will be interesting I knew she was young but she is very young when you see her. Does she get a new head for the storyline?

We’re in around June/July 1999 now; I think Sarah-Lou grows her new head in around October, from memory.

Tbf Sarah Lou new head is a far better actress then Sarah Lou old head they could never have done the storyline without a new actress .

She also looked, and acted, too young. It would have put a very different spin on an already controversial storyline.

Yes Tina O'Brien was 16 when she got the part ,of 13 year old Sarah-Lou ,so although still very young ,she could play the part with more maturity .

Yes, there’s no way that the current Sarah could have carried off a teen pregnancy storyline. She was acting in the cafe as if she were Rosie’s age. It would have been creepy, even with the fictional father also being 13.

Funny how far as I know yet have a gay character yet in real times 20y later it like 1/4 of street. Who was the first openly gay person and when roughly did they arrive?
