It was interesting to see two of today’s most in-demand actors in minor roles all those years back. To be fair. Maxine Peake had already done dinnerladies by then, but you could see from just those few scenes that she was quite a talent.

Am I only one trying not be sick at thought of Mike with Linda. Kissing that cigar face and sex oh my!

When I was far too young, I had a fling with an older man in his 40s. I was single, but i think I may have been the OW for him. Seeing Mike and Linda kissing immediately brought back that awful cigar smell like it was yesterday.

I think back in the late 90’s/early 00’s far more people smoked so people were used to kissing smoky mouths. Linda herself smokes so her tastebuds will be dulled somewhat. I certainly remember kissing some smokers when I was a teen and it was just something you accepted if you liked them.

Yeah Linda smokes roll up ,s so she's hardly going to have baby breath herself ,plus she will have yellow fingers .

My friend smoked rollies when we were in college together doing beauty therapy. I hated getting a facial from her because al I could smell was her smoky fingers!

I know smoking was far more socially acceptable in the 90,s ,I qualified as a mental health nurse in 96 ,patients were allowed to smoke in the main lounge ,staff had a smoke room,unthinkable now

Oh yes I remember it well just seems odd in work places with fabric.

Missed previous Maxine dramatics goodness it’s so boring. Ashley does talk like wet blanket.

Alison and Linda remind me of these girls I knew at school. One was sweet and a bit dozy; the other was a total cow who was supposedly her best friend. She used to treat the sweet one like shit because she knew she’d never fight back.

I know ,but I think it's like how some people can't pronounce their R,s or something ,his voice would drive me mad to be honest 😂

I LOVE classic Corrie, can’t remember any of the episodes at all. What makes me smirk is that they’ve only got a motorbike as traffic noise, same background when they’re outside 🤣
