I can see why, when they opted to bring back Tracy, they opted to recast her, Dawn Acton wasn't the best actress bless her.

I'm a couple of days behind but does anyone else think Leanne has completely overreacted to finding out she's pregnant? I know this was over 20 years ago now but terminations were legal and available back then, albeit not a pleasant thing to go through. Yes she's young, but she seems streetwise and like she should be aware that she has options. FGS dry your tears Leanne and get yourself back to the doctor pronto 😂

I was in college few years before this. Pregnancy tests not as cheap as now but sold everywhere. Plenty had termination and everyone knew someone who got pregnant on the pill hardly shocking revelation!

Typical soap style they have told everyone by week 5 so bound be diaster and we know she doesn’t have baby until 2018.

Really enjoyed today’s proper absorbing. Even if Gail did win the worst acting award. I know so many people do the Les thing and the Tys mum on the take. Just all good understanding people.

Catching up after a few days away. Did anyone else spot that they cut Rita’s final line from that episode? She originally says, ‘By hell, lady - I’ve met some hard-faced bitches in my time, but you take the bloody gold medal!’ I’m guessing bitch, bloody or both were considered too much for daytime!

It’s quite surprising to look back now and see how well Sharon slotted in so quickly. Perhaps they can find a way to redeem her in modern Corrie. It’s a shame that they didn’t make much of her friendship with Sally in her recent stint.

I wonder why they cut out Rita's next line? It was hardly going to offend anyone these days, was it?

It just makes me wonder what else they are cutting out! Some of the scenes recently seem to end very abruptly and strangely.

And have you noticed the new style of filming? Where the camera is moving instead of the character?

I remember reading about this in the papers at the time. Corrie trying to be more 'edgy', by using hand-held cameras, rather than fixed ones.

Audrey was a right cow to Maxine. She stepped up and used her initiative to keep going when Audrey swanned off at a moment’s notice!

Audrey's very selfish, isn't she. My husband is a big fan of Maxine!

I dont get why Rita has given her shop to sharon, Jenny wass also her foster daughter and for much longer and they were very close has i know they had the falling out after Ted died but surely she would leave jenny the shop. If anyone?

I think it's to stop Sharon from moving away @x2boys. Rita is very generous but also very controlling

We need a new Maud/Phyllis battleaxe. I'm planning on being a battleaxe when I'm older.

One Minute Mauds in her electric wheelchair next minute someone push me to rovers! You can’t push an electric wheelchair! There is an emergency setting where you have fiddle around underneath and then hardly moves out of motor. No wonder the world and it’s dog try and push mine with this rubbish!

Audrey really is horrid isn’t she? Thought she was much nicer.

@Akire, I didn't know that about electric wheelchairs. The writers need people to proofread the scripts.
