Anyway... Corrie in 1998.

Finally, what happened to gay Johan? The owner of the boat Hayley was living on.

Roy met him once, and then he disappeared on his bike the next day - leaving Hayley and Roy to treat the place like it was their own for the next couple of days

Where did he go? I hope Hayley remembered to leave him a note!

And what was all that sneezing business about with Alec whenever he was in Curly's house with Samantha? After she kidnapped Tiger?

I wonder if there was meant to be a storyline where he was allergic to cats?

I was so impressed with the cat actor who played Tiger!

He played his part beautifully when he dashed out of Number Seven into the street, and Des picked him up so lovingly.

And again, when Natalie brought him through from the back room of The Rovers and placed him on the bar counter to confront Samantha.

He was so confident and composed!

His on-screen skills would put most of present day Corrie actors to shame, and that's a fact.

I assumed Alec,as alergic to cats ?
Pp said the storyline was supposed to Curly,s but the actor had emergency stomach surgery ,so maybe Curly was allergic cats and wasn't ment to know Sam had the cat ?
Not sure what happened Johan I think they just shared the house boat and had their own lives

Maxine is really annoying all those anguish over boys. I wondered why no Tracey or anyone else yet. Confused how Fiona has had a boy when she is Emma’s mum and Emma in real time has no other family?

Morgan is Emma’s older brother. He appeared when their stepfather died and Emma discovered Steve was her biological dad. Fiona was pregnant when she left the show (although that wasn’t revealed at the time). In modern day Corrie, Fiona is meant to be in Australia.

Steve is Emma,s Dad ,she was apparently pregnant with Emma when she left the street ,Alan is Morgan's Dad ,I think a grown Morgan has appeared but only breifly,I think there is only a year iso between Emma and Morgan .

You know I didn't think much of Greg Kelly back in the day but I can see now why he got Sally all a flutter .

Sad really Sally is quite bright and working in factory. Mike telling her “you are a housewife and a mother don’t you need to go and make everyone’s tea” !! Sexists even then when they both worked full time.

Though shocked she’s having an affair but looked like just missed Kevs affair also. Had thought they were solid couple.

Yep their relationship has gone downhill after he starting shagging Natalie while Sally was away nursing her dying mum, then he starts getting excited over how to spend her inheritance ...I don't have much sympathy for 'Kev' tbh!

I’m really enjoying these. Also shocked about Sally she always seemed very straight laced. Interesting to see how Leanne gets any job seems to have no qualifications and working (and married?) at 16/17.

Love the sexist more money for nik in garage as an I don’t know anything student. Verses Leanne experience and responsibility and opening up in the shop for less.

Remind me of being in school in the 90s us working class kids were considered to be thick. Not like now where it’s teachers doing something wrong if everyone fails and not teaching well enough. We got told we were stupid and all would fail. Copy this from the black board and go home.

The carbon monoxide storyline has given Barbara Knox the opportunity to show what a fine actress she is, knocking the socks off anyone else in the cast.
Her performance was brilliant, especially in her homecoming scenes.

Yes she's had the operation now ,and Roy and Alma know,she hadent when she first came into it ,but her Dad died and left her some money and she went to Amsterdam and had the op .

You should try and watch the episodes in Amsterdam ( maybe on you tube .?)they are very sweet and it will give you a greater understanding.

The “extras” in the factory make me laugh. Some of the faces they pull. And that cringey line dancing a few weeks ago.

It’s lovely to see Hayley integrating so well.

Feel sorry for Maxine. She’s a decent woman who deserves better treatment.

Yes it would be more convincing if they gave the extras the odd line or so ,all the vague expressions make them look gormless!

It’s funny with so many characters smoking. Don’t think there is one today that I can think off the top of my head. But normal then for school kids to do.

Les is vile towards Toyah. I didn't notice at the time but he clearly treats Leanne differently.
