I remember one contestant a while ago who was making ‘Persian feasts’ and they were fawning over how exotic it was - but it which was pretty much the equivalent of spag Bol or a bacon sarnie - we were howling!

I've only caught up tonight so missed the chat with you all 🙁 wasn't a fan of Tom (for some reason I call him Simon in my head) but fair is fair at the end of the day and he won but I would have liked Alexina to win.

Just watched on catch up. I did expect Tom to win but I'd still rather eat food from Madeeha than anything cooked in that final.

Madeeha was the winner for me too. She went out (imo) because she tried to change the way she did/presented stuff to reflect what they'd been saying to her, losing a bit of herself/individualism in the process, then that wasn't right for them either. If she'd stuck to what she'd been doing she may have got through, but I strongly suspect these things may already be decided.

Tom performed best on the day though.

I'd find the scene on Youtube, but the whole film is worth a watch. And MC is a chef so there's plenty of restauranty wankery all the way through.

I'm out for lunch and I have cauliflower two ways on my plate made me think of you all.

There is only one way with cauliflower - drowning in cheese sauce 😋

Roasting it and drowning it in tahini dressing is great too imo

Actually - I made a cauliflower ‘steak’ (cut into 1cm slices, marinated in olive oil and chilli and roasted in the oven until soft) it was really nice!

I love cauliflower and will eat it however it comes - unless it's used as a pretend carb. Roasted and with cheese sauce are my favourites, though.

It was puree and roasted. I didn't expect to like the puree, as I don't tend to eat mushy veg but it was delicious.
My preference would also usually be with loads of cheese sauce.
