Noticed the last thread is almost full

There was criticism the other day because Rafa was interviewed about Djok's new 'weeks at number 1' record. Rafa's answer, again (to me) is typical Rafa. He said something about there being a lot of different records amongst the top players- but I don't think he meant to be rude. It has been reported as Rafa being 'salty' . I think it's just 'Rafa-ish'. .

When Rafa is salty you know he's salty! Remember the reporter who suggested he was playing badly because he had got married

Rafa got married in what is probably the worst bit of his year. For a reason.

Just watching the Tsitsipas/Davidovich Fokina match. I like Fokina. Unfortunately he seems to be injured. It will mess up my day if this match ends now- because the Rafa match will be on earlier.

I am looking forward to this afternoon- I wish Rublev was playing someone else, though, I would have liked him to get further. Not sure how he will get on though- he was close to cramping by the end of his match- and had a scary cough in his post match interview.
I hope he hasn't been kipping in Daniil's spare room.

Sam Smith really thinks Fokina should give up on this match, and avoid a long term injury. He is obviously struggling.

I noticed Rublev’s cough as well Raahh (although I am super paranoid about coughs these days!)

Annoyingly I haven’t been able to see any tennis yet (might take an extended lunch break to watch Rafa - it will be probably end up being a long 3 setter!)

Fizzy it just made me realise how we have become conditioned to be alert to someone coughing, over the past year . I had the same 'ooh, don't do that' reaction, when two of the players shook hands at the net!.

I might still manage to watch most of Rafa's match, as the 3rd match on (Ruud/Fognini) says ' not before 2pm'- which will be 1pm here- but if they can stretch the match out for a while, that would be good. .

And Fokina has retired- which is a real shame.

I quite like Salty Rafa (although yes I do think some things get lost in translation )
