Mitch really needs to step up here. He left Karen to raise their two children alone for years with no help from him, now she has taken on his other child as her own and is tearing herself in half trying to raise her and he just sits looking gormless. He owes her big style. He needs to sort himself out and start providing.

I work in a primary school, and there is funding available to enable kids like Bailey to attend school trips (in this case, her Space camp).
I wish they'd show stuff like that Hmm

If Bernie tries running off with the baby 9 months on ( maybe a Christmas story there if baby is very prem ?) then I don't fancy her chances with Rainie or Stuart! Both can have sociopathic tendencies.
Babies almost always prem in Eastenders.

It is a shame they can't show Bailey receiving some financial help towards the school trip.

Yes! That would be on whatever notification they'd had from the school, surely? Isaac would be able to point them in the right direction anyway, seeing as it's Albert Square and information is not available from anyone outside the neighbourhood.

Isaac, the teacher that is rarely at work, could help Bailey and Mitch with info over the school trip fees , but he is too busy throwing his meds away and arguing with his mum to do this!

I find Linda really annoying when any of the grown up Carter kids have a problem and Mick has to console her. Who on earth reacts like that about their adult child getting a divorce? She always overreacts and makes it about herself. She was the same when Johnny came out.

Karen has raised 6, now 7, children as a lone parent. She will be fully aware of what is available in terms of benefits and help from the school.

I have watched EE since it started and it's never been exactly joyful but the current writers just seem to make everyone as miserable, mean and nasty as they can. There is very little light relief anymore. Even Jean, Kim and Shirl have lost their one liners.

Linda is annoying at times, but I've met a few people who fit this brief of being over the top when anything goes wrong etc so I don't see it as that odd really, maybe I have just met too many ' drama llamas' in my time.

Money , it's a weird thing in EE.
I understand why Karen was upset last night but she has been here before and you would think she would be more savvy about things such as benefits due or taking some money from Bernie for keep or asking the school for help for Baileys trip. It was more of a rant about being poor ( fair enough) but she has always been up against it and working for Mr P in the launderette couldn't have brought in a huge amount , even if it was full time.

(Plus she should ask Sharon for money for baby sitting Albie all the time too, she seems money bags lately, hiring her half brother and Nancy etc.)
It was all so we could see Bailey upset , again!

I remember Keanu meeting his dad once, but he was horrible to Karen and him and Keanu didn't get on. I can't recall Bernie being mentioned! We have never met Riley or Chatham's dad either. Not that I can recall anyway.

Riley & Chatham's dad has been regularly mentioned yet never ever seen - he's the most reliable of the fathers though.
