I didn't feel sorry for Fizz. It's the price you pay when you're that dull

The Tyrone/Sally fling was about 10 years ago, for the PP who was asking. It was brief!
I’ve never liked Fiz as a character, she’s dull and a real nag, including to “the girls”.
Mind you, Alina is also a bit dull.
Her thing with Seb was obviously dead in the water some time ago, so they’ve obviously revived it just for “dramatic” purposes.

Tripe soup though - really? As if Abi brought him up on that stuff. It’s definitely not young person (i.e. anyone under 80) food, even in E Lancs.

I thought the tripe soup was meant to be something Alena had been bought up eating. Romanian (?) food. Not something Seb had as a child?

Which goes to show I need to pay more attention!
TBH I struggle with it lately so I tune out a bit. But have watched Corrie since the early 80’s so I keep going. For now.

Glimpses of good Corrie - the Ty and Fiz bit at the start of second episode. I don't like Fiz, but it was well done, she looked genuinely distraught, baffled and hurt, with none of the trademark shouting. Well acted. Yes, I can see Ty now embarking on a secret affair, whilst trying to work on his marriage, and it will all go horribly wrong. Couldn't care less about Sean, Daisy and that storyline.

Is Peter ok? Has he finished his jigsaw?

I agree, that was a very good scene. It got the screen time it needed and wasn’t over the top; there were good touches, such as Fiz having realised Tyrone was attracted to Alina without unnecessary hints to the viewer beforehand (no shocked looks or hard stares because she’d seen them talking in the ginnel etc.)

I don’t think it ever really ‘went’ anywhere. From memory, they comforted one another after the whole Kevin and Molly affair came out; Sally liked that Kev was jealous, but stopped it when she realised Tyrone wanted more.

Ty hadn’t said he wants to stick with Fizz her being all afronted isn’t going make him fall in love with her. She’s not going get over it, he’s not going fall love. Call it a day or you both be miserable.

The problem with Fiz and Tyrone is that, despite their longevity in the show, they’ve never really felt like a ‘classic’ couple - especially when they both have previous long-term partners still living on the street. As a 21st Century Jack and Vera, Tyrone and Gemma would actually be a better fit.

Good writing for the scene between Fizz and Alina. Strong women were always the backbone of the street and Fizz did that well.

And then Alina tells Tyrone off for not warning her and he apologises!!

I am now finding Alina extremely irritating.

At first I thought Leanne was planning to kill Harvey. They can't let this story just come to a clean end because Harvey is not the Mr Big. He is just a cog in the wheel.

Gawd knows what will happen but if Imran turns up in court to defend her then I will despair.

Kirk and Fizz were an item, weren't they? And there was the whole kevin Molly thing which Sally must have in her mind.
