New thread!

Sad Sal. Thought she'd be safe after the drink flask.

Well deserved Adam.

Fair for Hannah to go too

Furbylicious · 07/03/2021 20:58

Yay Adam! I loved his

Peter's was also fabulous

colouringindoors · 07/03/2021 20:59

Good calls.

Roussette · 07/03/2021 20:59

the sink needed to be a bit bigger to match the pedestal

The sink was enormous to me!

But yes it should have wrapped round

SimonJT · 07/03/2021 20:59

Definitely the correct decision.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/03/2021 21:00

Right one went - but agree that both the women played rather safe e: design.

Adam's was AMAZING (but I'd hate to have to scrub toothpaste, soap scum, and DH's tiny trimmed-beard hairs off that decorative finish . . . )

HeadNorth · 07/03/2021 21:02

Can't argue with that decision. I thought Pete's was stunning, so well observed. But did have cracks. I wouldnt like to use Adam's slightly creepy sink but it did have the wow factor.

fourquenelles · 07/03/2021 22:05

Just popping in to say did anyone else notice Adam's sink dripping at the back? They cut away a bit swiftish from it. I'll have to rewatch on catch up. It was lovely nonetheless.

Hannah's was hideous.

Ihaventgottimeforthis · 07/03/2021 22:14

Jodie's was dull & the sink & pedestal didn't really go together in structure.
I liked Hannah's design, but the fundamental flaws meant that I can't argue with her going.
Adam for the win now for me.

ihavenoplans · 07/03/2021 22:46

Jodie’s dragonfly reminded me of the facehugger thing from alien. And like a pp, I was thinking how tricky it would be to keep adams scaly sink clean.

Furbylicious · 08/03/2021 07:50

Jodie’s dragonfly reminded me of the facehugger thing from alien. GrinGrinGrin

I think it was the right decisions all round. Although I did wonder if they'd send Jodie home as her design was the least exciting.

I'm delighted Adam got potter of the week. I don't think any individual decision was unfair but I think he's been unlucky to have made so many lovely things and always been pipped at the post by someone else. (I would have given it for his lamp.)

I think I'd be happy with any of the finalists winning, they have all been great and seem like lovely people! I wouldn't have predicted Peter for the final weeks ago but he's earned his slot. I shall be so sad when it's over!

Chewbecca · 08/03/2021 07:56

I loved Adam’s, it was beautiful, but as a piece of sculpture or water feature perhaps for the garden, I wouldn’t actually want it in my bathroom, would be a bugger to keep clean.

Sal would have nailed that task. I am still wondering what she did to upset the judges / producers.

AaronPurr · 08/03/2021 09:11

Just catching up and wanted to ask if the constant hurrying them into the drying room is annoying anyone else? I understand the tasks have time limits, but why does carrying it into the drying room need to be included into the time? It's not like we can see the timer counting down, so it could be time up anyway. They're hardly going to refuse to allow them to continue the task just because they didn't make it into the drying room, it's so unnecessary. Confused

Now back to the sinks. I also thought I saw water dripping from Adams, but agree it was the best one. The right person went this week, but i'm still sad that Sal was eliminated.

SoupDragon · 08/03/2021 09:22

I think Adam has been unlucky with Potter of the Week before too. His lamp was beautiful.

SoupDragon · 08/03/2021 09:25

Peter has upped his game. He was bad at the chamber pot but he freely admits that a decoration challenge like that is something he is really bad at.

IWantToBeNynaeve · 08/03/2021 10:42

I love Peter but does anyone else think he looks like the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz! Every time I look at him that's all I can see Grin. I reckon it will be either Peter or Adam for the win, Peters stuff is always so solid and well built but I think Adam has the edge on design and beauty. It all comes down to the day though, it could be any of the 3!

Oh, Hell!

This has now joined with Andrew Lloyd Webber in a hideous mish-mash I cannot unsee!!

Whitney168 · 08/03/2021 11:06

@Wolfcub

I don't feel Adam's bowl and pedestal go together
Agree, I thought both bits fantastic in themselves, but totally unlinked. Still an obvious winner of the choices on the day though.
SoupDragon · 08/03/2021 11:13

I think they went together. It was a mermaid tail holding up a rock pool - the textures and colours were bound to be different.

longtompot · 08/03/2021 11:49

I'm glad Adam finally won potter of the week. He has deserved it several times. I admired his sink but didn't like it as such. I did think his scales would have been better the other way up.
I think Peters was really good, but I think he missed a trick with the handle on the front. If it was wider it could have been used to hang a towel on.
Someone mentioned about the getting into the drying room being included in the time, and I agree, it shouldn't be in the time limit. They have refused to let people put things in their after the time in the past when they forgot an item on their bench. It was in one of the earlier series.
Adam to win for me next week.

viques · 08/03/2021 13:06

@Sunbird24

Keef’s holding back tears at Hannah’s
I think he was being kind......

Her chamber pot was pathetic, a name and some painted flowers, we all know she can paint well, but there was no personalisation or design flair.

Her sink was awful, dreadful design, poorly made. She should have been sent home weeks ago.

Jodies pot was delightful, and I liked her sink, I could imagine it in a bathroom, maybe the colours could have been bolder though.

I can see that. Grin I think Keith looks like the penguin in the Batman tv series of my youth, it’s those snug little jackets and the hair......
SoupDragon · 08/03/2021 13:36

I thought the decoration on Jodie's pot was awful. The idea was good though.

Adam's pot was just wonderful. Such a lovely idea.

TangerineGenie · 08/03/2021 13:39

I thought the decoration on Jodie's pot was awful. The idea was good though.

They do seem to value ideas over execution. Personally i hate all the guf they come up with about grandma's, nieces etc. I thought Hannah's decoration was much more accomplished even if she'd failed to spin the right story to go with it.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 08/03/2021 13:44

Ooooh!

Good point!
