Anyone watch last night

Likely lad and dad in Essex mansion swap with working mum and her 3 kids

Two essentially single chaps swapping with a single mum is a bit weird. They couldn't live the rich family life life, as there were no rich family activities to try. Plus lockdown.
Still the toddler enjoyed the free activity of watching the boats and trains from the window.

Im not sure I believe that is the flat where Ayo usually lives, I'd guess in normal times, it is a corporate let or he lets it through air b&b.

I live high up and while I never use the lounge blinds, light pollution makes blackouts in the bedroom essential. I hope he has a great sleep mask.

TheVolturi · 29/03/2021 22:25

Jodieson the name made me laugh! But I liked Jodie. I don't believe Ayo lives there, apart from it having amazing view it was crap 🤣 not even a full size pool table!
And we didn't get to the bottom of how he managed to start buying houses 🤔

purpleme12 · 29/03/2021 22:28

Did it say an investor paid for it for him to start with?

purpleme12 · 29/03/2021 22:29

I liked her too

Made me laugh how she said she'd go back to her sausage butty any day 😂

purpleme12 · 29/03/2021 22:30

But do we really think Jodie actually watched mentoring?!

purpleme12 · 29/03/2021 22:31

#wanted not watched

Xenia · 29/03/2021 22:37

I think they have been finding it hard to find very rich married couples with children for the swaps recently as they have been turning to people bringing in a friend or cousin and in fact the latest one - rich man in a high rise flat compared with a very lovely small house the single mother lived in - know where I would rather live -the single mother's place.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/03/2021 14:09

Jodieson. Really 🙄

Jodie was good. Loud. Can sell stuff. Kind hearted

But as a single parent she would get most of her childcare fees paid for so why doesn’t she work

The 53 shocked the rich friends

And very sure he doesn’t go on boat trips and have a weekly chef cooking for him

That was for her benefit

For once they didn’t help her as such. No job offer etc

OP posts:
purpleme12 · 30/03/2021 14:22

He said he would do some mentoring to her
That was their helping

I thought he just had a professional chef as a treat. That's the impression I got anyway

purpleme12 · 30/03/2021 14:23

She was a youth worker so I don't know if that means she works evenings so it's harder to get professional childcare for that?
I don't know, just wondering

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/03/2021 21:28

True @purpleme12. Tho they usually add a bit on end

Now has new job. More money. Started selling houses etc

OP posts:
purpleme12 · 30/03/2021 21:31

It didn't seem to me that she would be the type of person into this 'mentoring'

purpleme12 · 30/03/2021 21:32

(which is fair enough in my opinion)

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/03/2021 21:51

Depends how they mentor

To earn money not spending money, is what man in top hat said

I would like that 😂

OP posts:
purpleme12 · 30/03/2021 21:59

Mmm maybe

I'm just not convinced about the whole mentoring stuff as a thing

Jacky86 · 31/03/2021 00:22

I’d imagine the activities were limited because of Covid. The poor family always goes to a restaurant out of their price range- they couldn’t do that this time so had to get the chef instead. Same reason for the boat trip- they were limited with trips/ excursions.
Blondeshavemorefun · 31/03/2021 07:18

Then cook nice food for her

She wouldn’t have gone to a restaurant and chosen fish nuggets

Or the other raw fish dish

Tho the lamb looked nice but was tiny

I think Jodie probably realized she was financially better off not working when she had her son so stopped working. She initially said she had to stop working when her son was born due to childcare costs, but her friend then said it was during the pandemic because her mum was isolating and therefore couldn't give free childcare. Her house was lovely and had a more luxurious feel than the rich house!

purpleme12 · 31/03/2021 17:13

I guess her son's not old enough for them to say she has to work yet..

The rich house was just too minimalist. It was dull and boring

Lantanacamara · 31/03/2021 20:36

It completely lacked any style or character. The bedside "tables" were cheap, nasty plastic drawers.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/04/2021 16:30

E6 tonight

Self dryer commerce Kong 21yr kamik and partner Francesca swap their lavish lifestyle with Mel and Sophie who dream of a comfortable life

No mention of kids

Unless Sophie is a child

Maybe they have run out of families

OP posts:
purpleme12 · 04/04/2021 21:13

The rich house is really plain and boring again!

Love how they've ordered 3 takeaways 😂

BigSandyBalls2015 · 04/04/2021 22:14

Did anyone else notice the “am I allowed to talk” comment from the rich couple?

BigSandyBalls2015 · 04/04/2021 22:15

The woman

Tangledtresses · 04/04/2021 22:16

Why did she ask can I say this? Odd! Very stepford
