This has felt like someone trying to write like Jed Mercurio instead of being written by the man himself. In the end I found it wholly unconvincing, confused and with under-developed characters and poor production values.

So he's killed 6 people then ?
The 3 original ones , Adam , Torry, and Keenan .

Who shot the third person? (They found 3 bodies). JN admitted to David Corry and Tori's father. Forgotten who the third was and not sure who shot them?

Also - and I realise this is a tiny detail amongst all the massive plot holes - wouldn't forensics show he'd shot Keenan once from a distance and once at close range? Wouldn't that look suspicious?

Was it the priest?

Series 2 has to be about JN's wife, surely. Agree with pp who said JN was creepy and can imagine him trying to control Izzy.

Think the priest was Tori's father.

Forensics would have checked JN for gun shot residue wouldn't they??

That ending was so disappointing. It made no sense why they’d suspect JN and then seemingly take his word for it that another man who can’t be connected to all the deaths is Goliath.

I think Pat Keenan would have sent his hench man to take Tori out. I mean he had enough heavies on his payroll.

Coz he arrived home to find daughter alone and had a call (from the brother of Adam) saying wife was kidnapped abs to save her he had to kill 2 men

Tho when he got to meeting the ‘kidnapper’ it was obvious wife and him having an affair so he killed brother of Adam abs told wife to hide

Yes that ended up rubbish. Glad it was only 4 episodes, I won't be watching series 2.

It was explained - the people that kidnapped JN's wife told JN he had to kill Joe the Priest and David Corry or they would kill the wife.

Really weak plot point that she was supposedly then released and agreed to go on the run leaving her baby behind..

Disappointed. Ep1 and Ep2 were not bad, went really downhill from there. Plot just didn't work, too many co-incidences and stupid decisions needed to make it work e.g. why the helm would JN give his daughter the ugly owl necklace when he knew it was linked to the grave site of his murder victims? Surely asking for trouble?

I fell asleep towards the end but I don't think it made much difference to my understanding of the story.
I hate plot holes and can't see the point of a second series. I certainly won't be watching it.

Dear God that was shite, apart from the one sharp intake of breath moment at the end of the second episode.

To be fair, the first time the ugly Lizzie Duke matching pendants were mentioned I thought 'err...?' I should have switched off then, but instead wondered if DH and I were the odd ones for not having sealed our love with matching great feck off animal jewellery.

There’s 4 hours of my life I won’t get back again. Was delighted initially as DH and I love watching The Fall/ Lineof Duty etc and shouting when we recognise the shooting locations.

Alas really clunky dialogue, especially Izzy’s. And so, so, so dour- zero black humour which you’d expect from a regional police drama. And that necklace plot point was straight out of a Screenwriting For Beginners guide.

Although I did recognise one of the extras as a fella I went to school with so not an entire waste.

I'm possibly a bit thick, but I don't understand why they didn't arrest DI Brannick after tracking his phone, following him with armed officers and being convinced he was Goliath? Why did he end up off the hook?

Coz tom laid the blame on keegan

Blonde doc kidnapped him thinking he killed her dad

When keegan found Tom in car park he wanted the truth of who did it

So Tom told doc about the gun. Which she went to to get for evidence rather then call the police

Tom set her up with keegan so when she went to get the gun he was waiting for her

Thinking she was trying to hide the evidence m

Hence he shot her

So when police arrived they had the gun that killed the other 4 in keegan hand and he shot doc

The. Tom shot him

Pretending to save

Evidence points to keegan tho we know it’s all Tom

What did he throw in the lake? Phone or the gun? I assume phone as the gun would link Keegan to Goliath.
