Oh for god's sake, I have watched Corrie for decades and all of Downton Abbey including the film, and I have just looked up Rob James-Collier and realised that he was Liam and Barrow.

Yes you’re absolutely right! My husband is a mechanic and he’d have fashioned some king of tool out of a bit of shelf and picked that lock in no time.

I just want soaps to be soaps again. I don’t want to watch a blockbuster movie/sitcom badly acted and spread over the rest of the year in 30 minute instalments.

I so agree with this, I’m an avid Classic Corrie viewer, they actually have storylines properly acted and developed over a period of time, at the moment it is the aftermath of Kevin’s affair with Natalie Horrocks, It’s done so well, you really feel Sally’s trauma and the implications on her life, in today’s Corrie it would have been completely sensationalised and done and dusted in 3 episodes. The difference in quality from then to now is marked.

Yep I’m watching classic Corrie too and it’s a world away from today’s Corrie. Two different shows really.
