Unbelievable. Jess and Martha are just the ultimate mean girls who are now throwing Mark under the bus and upsetting Ning just to deflect attention off of Dan. They are both bare faced lying about the Dan situation. They collaborated on winding up Cyrell to help destroy her relationship with Nic. And pretty sure Martha helped Ines with seeing Sam.

Basically Jess just made up some shit on the spot to deflect, and she picked on Mark because she knows Ning is the most insecure. It’s totally true about the ‘women vs girls’ dynamic, there’s a clear divide between the behaviour of Jess & Martha and the other ladies in the ixperiment

I dislike Dan the most, followed by Martha, followed by Jessika. Dan is such a slimeball. Martha is smug. Jessika is a crap actress and a wannabe. I don't even believe she likes Dan. She just wants exposure and is not very bright. She realises this is being filmed, right?

I wonder - feels like this whole thing is being manipulated to the nth degree. Everyone clearly knows what’s happening. I think it’s the stress of having to pretend they don’t all know that they all know which is distressing Jules and Cam. I’m now not enjoying it on any level, whereas I did enjoy the ixperiment as a bit of fun previously. Seeing that limited and damaged young woman being cast in a hateful role which will follow her around for years is increasingly like watching a spitty scrawny cat being bated with food and kicked at the same time. I’m calling time and bowing out. But have enjoyed the thread so thank you all.

Atlaspine I agree it is all very contrived now. Martha and Jess are just a bit vacuous. I do agree they have been encouraged to continue this scenario. No one could voluntarily want to feel this terrible all the time.

I also don't buy the Michael moral dilemma. The ixperts claim the couples normally find it really hard to cope with the lying and cheating as it makes them feel vulnerable. Ermmmmm, not Michael and Martha! No loyalty to anyone right there other than Jess. And loyalty to Jess is pointless as she's been about to leave. Just seems a bit unbelievable.

This is the first season I’ve watched where I don’t actually care if any of the couples stay together or not, or particularly like any of them.
Every other season I’ve been rooting for certain couples to last. There’s been genuine heartwarming parts. And humorous parts.

There’s nothing like that on this series. It’s dire.

If anyone has watched Season 7 - is it all the same scripted soap opera drama?? Or have they toned it down a bit?

Also in previous series they had some glamour, but also more natural/normal types and body sizes. Not sure if this has been asked before, but why the lack of ethnic diversity as well?

Yes that was the first thing my ds asked- about gay couples, there’s no reason they couldn’t do it.
All the younger women’s IG they’ve become glamour models, there’s clearly been a lot of weight loss and plastic surgery since the show. I was actually a bit disturbed to see it. That includes Tam. Makes me think the whole thing was to get publicity.

The people, esp the women, seemed to have been picked like Love Island Contestants. And put in the tightest dresses possible.
At least jules is keeping some of her style and Heidi does a bit too.

I was looking at Lizzies’s (remember her!) IG earlier and was shocked about how much weight she’s lost. And not in a good way

I didn't enjoy last nights episode. It's got to the stage where they're padding it out. The whole show was constant recaps, the same people churning out the same lines (I'm here for love...) and dramatic music drowning out the talking.
Out of the whole 90 minutes the only thing that happened was the men asking Dan about Jess, and Jess stirring things up at the girls night.
Jess is looking increasingly rough and borderline like she's on something.

Same sex couples would be great. Sadly if they did I think it would be down the lines of the Megan Barton Hanson line, for cheap thrills unfortunately.

I’m sorry this is a bit mean, and I actually feel a bit sorry for Jess because it’s a bit sad that she is being cast in this role, clearly just there for the exposure etc.
Was trying to think who she reminded me of last night with those slightly drunk eyes. She looked proper creepy at some points last night looking at Ning. And it’s this actress from the missing!
